2011 A-Z Friends Challenge

I just realized that I have friends whose names start with almost every letter of the alphabet so I thought of this challenge. :)

Read 26 books from the bookshelves of your friends/other RRRC members whose names/nicknames start with the letters of the alphabet. You can read a book from any of their shelves but it would be nice to read a book they already liked and enjoyed (that would allow you to get to know each other better.)

For the letter "X", any friend/RRRC member with the letter X in his/her name is acceptable. You can find the list of the group members in the link below:

You should use the first letter of the name/nickname they use. So for instance Jim would be under P because he's known as Photojim. :)

Duration: February 1, 2011 - December 31, 2011 (I figure we can do it in 11 months.:)

You can sign up anytime, and you can backdate books as long as they were read from February to December and you know when you finished it.

That's my question too- can we only use people on our friend's list or maybe anyone on RRRC (since we're all friends here anyway :) )

If I understand the rules correctly, you can use people on your friends list or/and members of our group.

I'm sure D.G. will clarify it when she can.

Yes, you can use either friends or group members.

If you are already know which books you are planning to read for February and you click on them, it will tell you which of your friends have already read it and their rating. So that's an easy way to get started. :)

Yikes, I don't have very many friends to choose from!! If anyone is willing add me as a friend, please add away :) I'm more than happy to meet new people with a love of books.

Yup - I think this is part of the fun of this challenge. (I don't have many more friends than you Rena.) And if the bookshelves look like someone you would want to be friends with - go ahead and ask. I do the compatability test if I find I am exchanging similar views with someone, and go from there.

Awesome! I'm a big Psy-changeling fan and just got my hands on a copy of that book and I've heard so many things about The Iron Duke that I couldn't decide which one. :) Thankfully, I just got 'Burning Up' from the library - which has the Iron Duke prequel and Psy-Changeling 8.5 so I'll read those this month and get a taste of both! :)
