Molly (mollystoddart) Just finished this book today (I think the second time I've ever finished a book in it's "month"). Anyone else read it? If you have it, it's a super quick read.

Overall I liked it. I was more interested in the present storyline than the flashbacks, which made parts of it drag on a bit. I loved Mia's family dynamics and relationships though, and definitely found myself with tears in my eyes a few times!

Lyn (Readinghearts) (lsmeadows) I thought this story of family, love, and loss was at times heart wrenching, but still uplifting in way. I give it 4 and a half stars and highly recommend it.

Molly - I liked the flashbacks myself, but agree that the storyline of the present was the best part. I made me think! Did you know there is a sequel? It is about what happens to Mia later. It also sounds good and I hope it gives us more insight into choices that we make and the outcomes that we have to live with.

Molly (mollystoddart) I just saw that there's a sequel, and requested it from the library! :)

Lyn (Readinghearts) (lsmeadows) I want to get it too, but probably won't get to it until March or so. I hope it is good, too.

I had such a horrible commute that I finshed this book and pretty much almost finished the other LOL.

Ok I gave it 4.5 stars (or 4 GR stars) I relally liked it. I was a good YA book. I know it is becoming a movie (as is everything else is) but I think it would be a good movie so long as all the Twilight characters stay away LOL

I would like to think as myself as Mia's parents except for that whole car crash thing. I would wanna be as hip as that I am think I sorta am,. I may not have been in a band but I love music in all genres and books and musuems and all the fun stuff. I just hope my kids are as close and are as successful (except for ...ya know!)

Lyn (Readinghearts) (lsmeadows) I hear ya, Donna. I like to think I am/was that kind of parent, too. As you said, except for the whole being dead thing.
