Wild Things: YA Grown-Up discussion

Howdy, howdy! I've been lurking in this group and looking at your recommendations, so I thought this would be a perfect place for me. I teach young adult literature at the university level, so I read a lot. At the moment I am trying to read a book a day. My favorite books and authors are a little quirky. I love strange cross combining of genres like funny/scary (Hold me Closer, Necromancer) or mystery/fantasy (White Cat). I fervently believe what Neil Gaiman said, "There are two kinds of books. Good books...and great books."

Glad to have you, Paula! You have my dream job- talking about YA books to other adults all day. I'm sure "adults" is a loose term for some students at the university, though. :-)
