Wow - we're up to 33 members! Welcome, everyone!

Please feel free to introduce yourself here in the "Hellos and Site Questions" area. We'd love to hear a little about you and your relationship with yoga. :)

Felecia Parker | 5 comments I had attended classes over the years sporadically at my local gym. Over the last year and a half, I've made a more sincere commitment to my physical, spritiual and mental well-being. I began exploring different ways to develop a stronger mind-body connection. I get acupunture treatments bi-weekly and my therapist suggested yoga would be a good companion. So I started looking for yoga centers that were dedicated to the basic foundations and also purchased Yoga for Dummies to take me through the fundamentals. I'm two months in. Unfortunately, there are not a long of basics classes during the week, only one or two sessions. So it takes a few months to get the fundamentals down. It's been a wonderful way to begin my week. I am trying to develop a home routine, one I found in the Yoga Journal magazine. I am actually working on losing weight, so my goal is to make yoga a regular part of my maintenance routine. Preferably up to every other day or every day. Its a great way to get centered and also to release after being in the office all day.

Welcome, Felecia! Thanks for sharing your introduction. :)

I am definitely finding yoga to be an amazing path to a stronger connection between my body and mind - like you said.

Do you have a favorite pose so far?

Felecia Parker | 5 comments I really like starting my routine with Balasana, since I have some lower back discomfort--it really stretches my spine and forces me to relax to get into a good posture. And once I'm warmed up I like ardha chandrasana, it challanges me. No to find the perfect posture, but the focus my energy and find balance using my entire body.

Our Yoga of acceptance is a new threshold of understanding based in love and acceptance of the eternal spiritual potentials of humanity.

We love to share with people both the difficult truths and the fun side....

In general we feel people in america are suffering because they have been taught to not know their needs....

So we have put a website together that explores what those may be.....

We want to bridge with all other yoga healers and create a network with you that spreads beyond these online platforms, so we can smuggle new yoga fans across the border of fear and apathy.
