I had one brief day to celebrate. My one correct choice, The Finkler Question, will not carry me far. And my champion, Skippy Dies, was knocked out by an inferior effort.

It could only have been worse if it had been beaten by So Much for That. My guess, based on past success, is that Lionel Shriver will soon be the owner of a brand new rooster. May it crow shrilly at all the wrong times.
