This is a space for everyone to introduce themselves to the Group. I'll start. I'm Donald Van de Mark, author of The Good Among the Great: 19 Traits of the Most Admirable, Creative and Joyous People. In addition to being an author, I have been a television reporter and anchorman for CNN and CNBC, an Internet entrepreneur and a public speaker.
I'm open to talking about all these subjects here, but I'm mostly hoping to discuss the concepts I talk about in The Good Among the Great. In my book, I examine the 19 personality traits that I've found, in my career as a reporter, are so often shared among the world's most successful people in business, in politics and in the arts. I've also found that these traits are equally abundant in private life--among community leaders and within families.
A select number of people in this world, from all walks of life, happen to be high achievers and wonderful, generous, happy and fulfilled. The goal of my book is to examine how they got this way--and to explore how the rest of us can adopt the traits that make them so successful, creative and transcendentally happy.
