I'm gonna nominate outside of the fiction genre and go with - Aristotle and an Aardvark. Simple philosophy concepts, well, simple intros, but maybe we need something like this for discussion.

Anyway, nominating time!
"Pretending You Care : The Retail Employee Handbook" by Norm Feuti.
Don't let the title completely fool you, while it's informative enough on retail things, it's sold in the humor section for a reason.

Also, sorry to here you have problems. It Sucks.
Edit: Ok, one of the authors came back to me. I nominate The Lady Elizabeth by Alison Weir. She's a respected historian so its not a lot of romantic drivel like a lot of books on this subject are. I was torn between nominating this and her other novel, Innocent Traitor, about Lady Jane Grey but Elizabeth seemed like she'd be a more popular choice.
I don't think the ship has sunk either, I've been sick for the better part if two weeks so I haven't read much or gotten online either. I'm finally finishing to good omens today. I think I'll nominate a classic this month, how about Alice in Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass. That would be a fun read filled with silly discussions afterwards
