I'm trying to decide exactly how to review this book. It was written extremely well. The story was not dull, and it was not difficult to read. It is a book that young adults and adults can read for an interesting, complex story and not struggle through tedious wording.

The book left me scratching my head in several places. I thought I had it figured out, then suddenly, I didn't. This happened more times than I care to admit. I usually do not get thrown off the scent so many times, especially in a book so short! The plot is very well written. Our heroine is not exactly lovable, but you desperately want to know what is going to happen with her next.

I hope the story becomes longer as the series progresses, I was left feeling like a few hundred pages were missing. It did the job it was intended to do in 219 pages on e-book, but I felt like I was missing a few things in many of the characters and some of the scenes. The Gargoyle Prophecies, Part I, The Savior Rises by Christopher C. Payne

Nichole (nichole_roberts) | 1 comments I read this book as well and really enjoyed how it was completely different from anything else I've read. I agree it was very well written and it did leave me guessing about what was really going on. I wrote a review on it once I finished it. I am looking forward to the next of the series.

I have read this book several times now, and I love it as much the second and third times! The characters are ones that really seem to stick with you, and leave you thinking about them long after the book has been put away.

@Ottilie - what is Matched about?

Dale Ibitz (goodreadscomdale_ibitz) | 298 comments There have been books that I read that I liked more after the 2nd reading. Funny how that works! The best books are the ones where the characters stay with you.

I agree, and in this one, the main character really leaves a great impression. The author does a great job of pulling you in and making you feel the confusion and frustration she is going through.
