Adam Santo (locoduc) | 2 comments Out of curiosity, how do will this discussion work? Are the authors sending out copies or are they going to be picked up by the reviewer out of their own pockets? Just wondering. Will the reviews done be for Goodreads only or will they spread to other websites (B&N, Amazon, etc.)?

I think that really depends on how the authors and reviewers are wanting to do things. If an author has copies to send out, he or she can mention that here. If the author is merely asking for review requests, people who have already read can post a review for them, or they can go out an purchase the book. Or the Author/Reviewer could work out a reimbursement for the book after the review is done...there are a multitude of ways this can be done. It all depends on the situation.

Authors: Make it VERY CLEAR if you are going to send them a physical copy, e-copy, or if you just want someone who has already read your book or is willing to buy it.

Reviewers: Make sure to clarify anything you are unsure of with the author prior to accepting the request! :-)

As far as where the reviews are posted, I'm sure the author and reviewer can discuss that as well. Usually when I review a book for an author, I post to GoodReads, LibraryThing, Amazon, Barnes and Noble, Borders, and JournalStone.com (if it is the right type of genre). I know some others post to Shelfari and personal blogs as well.

So if there are specific places the author would like the review places, just ask!! :-)

Hi I recently had the first book of my books series published and would love some reviews. The genre is How To, but it is just as much a humor book. Its called, "Learn Just Enough to Get Laid." I would describe it as a "goal oriented" How To. I'd like some reviews because I'm finding a lot of people are scared off by the title. This first book features 8 skills ranging from guitar to religion. I dont have too many copies but if you have a large following on Good Reads I'd be happy to send you a copy. I also have many galley books that I would send to anyone who was willing to review. The book came about about a month ago. Thanks very much! Here are some links

Grace Elliot (httpwwwgoodreadscomgraceelliot) | 4 comments Hello there!
If there are any historical romance fans out there I'd love a review of my debut novel A Dead Man's Debt . I would be happy to email the pdf, perhaps message me so we can discuss the logistics.
kind regards,
Grace x

‘A Dead Man’s Debt’ by Grace Elliot.
Celeste Armitage has a plan…and that plan doesn’t include marriage.
After deliberately humiliating a suitor, Celeste’s despairing parents exile her to the country. But once there she discovers a sketch book of daring nude studies and is shaken to find the artist is her hostess’s eldest son, Lord Ranulf Charing. This darkly cynical lord is exactly the sort of dissipated rogue she despises most…if only her blood didn’t heat at the thought of him…
Nothing is as it seems. Lord Ranulf’s life is a façade. Only he can save the Charing’s from disgrace as a blackmailer seeks to ruin his late brother’s reputation. But just as Ranulf dares to open his heart to Celeste, the fury of his nemesis is unleashed… facing him with the stark choice between true love and family duty. However when Celeste guesses the truth behind his rejection, Ranulf underestimates her resolve to clear his name and in so doing places the woman he loves in mortal danger….

Michelle Scott (michellescottfiction) Hello!

If you like YA fantasy rags-to-riches stories, then Uncommon Magic by Michelle Scott may be for you. It's about cruel magicians, a dark secret, a broken heart, a lovely pair of dogs, and being forced to eat fish head stew.

On the other hand, if you like vampires, dark city streets, graffiti and stolen cars, you may prefer Blood Sisters by Michelle Scott

If you want to read sample chapters, I've posted them over on my website.

Duane Simolke (duanesimolke) I would love reviews for The Acorn Gathering.

From a scandal-rocked town in West Texas to the Blackfeet Indian reservation in Montana, these short stories take readers to surprising places in America and the human heart. Fiction by Duane Simolke, Jan Chandler, Huda Orfali, Timothy Morris Taylor, Shawna R. Van Arum, and Bill Wetzel. Edited by Duane Simolke.

You can download the eBook for free at

http://search.barnesandnoble.com/The-...

or

http://www.smashwords.com/books/view/...

It's a short read. Please post the review at Goodreads and/or any place else. The more places the better, and the more reviews the better.

Thank you for your time!
Duane Simolke

Just a question here, I see that your post your reviews to various sites (which is wonderful) I was just wondering can you post those all at once to all those different places or is it one at a time?

Cambria, I just copy and paste it to different places, GoodReads allows you to post to FaceBook at the same time, and I think to Twitter as well ( I would have to double check that one), but unfortunately, you have to go to each site individually to post as far as I am aware.

J.T. Harding (tessharding) I have just published a new novel The Beach House and would love to get some reviews for it. It's in the adult genre so you might like to check my Books webpage first to see if you would want to do this:
http://jt-harding.com/books/

I can make the book available free on Kindle, ePub, PDF or if you would really like I'm willing to send out a few free paperback copies as well.

Let me know if you are interested.

Oh I understand that! I always ask my kids about the new way of doing things, because they seem to know more about the computer than I do. I like to try to keep up as best I can! Questions are always good!! :-)

Jonathan Gould | 7 comments Hi to all you reviewers.

I would love to get some reviews for my new ebook Doodling.

It's a humorous fantasy about a man who falls off the world, and the strange and wonderful adventures that befall him - sort of Douglas Adams meets Lewis Carroll with a bit of Gulliver's Travels thrown in.

Please contact me - Jonathan Gould - and I'll forward a copy. Either via a Smashwords coupon or whatever format is preferred.

Jason Halstead (booksbyjason) | 11 comments Hey there fellow readers and writers. I'm on the prowl to do some reviewing and, in turn, get some reviews done for my stuff. My genres are primarily science fiction and fantasy, but I've dabbled in fiction / romance as well. In the future who knows what I'll do, I refuse to constrain myself!

So then, if anybody's interested in helping me out I'd be more than happy to return the favor. Also happy to provide 100% coupons to my stuff for anyone gracious enough to offer up a review.

I'll even post a link to a review I did just yesterday: Vengeance by J.E. Taylor
