Skye (eykskye) | 88 comments I don't know if there's a link to info about it or anything, but when I bought City Of Fallen Angels today (squee!) it came with an invitation to a tour wrap party at Dymocks on the 27th of May with Cassie. Free event, unlike the Reading Matters conference.

message 27: by Braiden (new)

Braiden | 333 comments ALRIGHT!

So Marianne de Pierres is having a tour in Melbourne for the first week of May. There is a gap on Tuesday morning I believe in which she was advertising if any schools and bookstores wanted to contact her about having an event.

However I asked her whether we could have a coffee or something with a group of bloggers etc. just to take the opportunity. She said if we can get 8-10 bloggers/readers/authors here in Melbourne then maybe we can organise something during that week.

If you think you can come or want to come and join us (hopefully it does go ahead) then just reply to this comment. I’m really looking forward to meeting Marianne at one of her appearances, but we can have an extra opportunity to really talk and ask questions about anything in publishing, writing, reading or about Marianne’s works.

Your sincerely,

Braiden. :)

message 28: by Braiden (new)

Braiden | 333 comments Also Alison Goodman will be coming if we get the numbers so add that to your interest list!

message 29: by Rhiannon (new)

Steph (my_girlfriday) | 34 comments hey Melbourne peeps!

Braiden, that sounds like an awesome opportunity with Marianne de Pierres, but I don't think I can swing it with working full-time, but hope that it works out and that everyone involved has a good time (and I look forward to reading the run-down on your blogs!)

Steph :)

message 46: by Braiden (new)

Braiden | 333 comments Hey Skye,

you going to go to Kristin Cashore at State Library or Cassandra Clare at Dymocks next Friday?

If you do I was thinking maybe go to Kristin at 5 quickly and meet her and get books signed then go to Cassie Clare before she arrives at 5:30 at Dymocks - although meaning the pre-party would be missed lol.

message 47: by Skye (new)

Skye (eykskye) | 88 comments Yeah, I was thinking of doing the same thing. I figured, Cassie wouldn't be signing until the end at around 6.30 or 7.
