Eric Andrews-Katz | 10 comments I found the Monster of Florence by Douglas Preston to be very good.

I also liked "Most Evil" and "Black Dahlia Avenger" by Steve Hodel who claims his father was the Dahlia killer among others.

Chris (bibliophile85) | 28 comments "The Trial of Gilles de Rais" by Georges Bataille was fascinating I thought. Kind of dry at times, but I have always been interested in de Rais and there are so few books about him.

For a more conventional True Crime book, "Cannibal, the True Story Behind the Maneater of Rotenberg" is an interesting examination of the Armin Meiwes case.
