Amanda (icehotels) | 4 comments Nevermind. For some reason the link in my app took me to a different group than The Pale King group. Weird.

Victoria (VictoriaInVerse) | 7 comments Nice! I just bought this book. Even though I have yet to read Infinite Jest I just couldn't help myself. I think this book might be easier to tackle. We'll see.

Wesley | 1 comments Victoria,

Have you read any of his nonfiction? I found it to be an easy way to familiarize myself with DFW.

Michael | 1 comments Jealous that you're going to experience the book for your first time. Can only do that once!

Highly recommend reading this quick "how to" -- the end notes are brilliant and hilarious, and Kottke's tips will help keep everything straight: http://kottke.org/09/07/how-to-read-i...

Ed Raso (edraso) | 4 comments If you're reading a paper book, use two bookmarks. One for the story and one at the endnotes. Enjoy. Work hard.

I read the Pale king as my intro to DFW, and then a bunch of short stories before IJ, and glad I did, but it only made me want to know how TPK would have been if finished... IJ is my all time favorite book!

I would be glad to Join in a spring reading. My favorite all time book... I could read it over and over...lol... I think that is DFWs jest!

Nice! My copy is collecting dust on a shelf somewhere. Think I'll have it again this month. :)

Peter | 2 comments A blog somewhere suggested reading it with a dictionary. If you want to go down that road, I would suggest an iBook if possible, because you can look up words and skip back and forth between footnotes very easily, particularly important with infinite jest. In the evening I tended to read my paper copy.
