Fantasy Book Club Series discussion

So, I just finished up the night time visit to the brothel basement... and I am just reflecting for a bit.

I love how this book started out with focus on the dark elves. We just keep changing our worldly perspective with each book.

Now, as we progress, (view spoiler)[ the lurking massive evil appears again, and this time has clearly associated itself with the dark brotherhood. Loved the zombie scene in the brothel basement! And Jimmy the hand is a squire now, very kool. My question is, why is the dark evil thing infatuated with the King of the West, Arutha, and no other? (hide spoiler)]

In answer to your question hidden in the spoiler, I'd re-read the Prologue if I were you. I think it hints at why, but I'm not 100% sure.

With respect to the brothel basement: (view spoiler)[I almost laughed outloud, except that in 1985 zombies weren't so cliched. It's really hard for me to take zombies seriously these days, especially after some of the films my kids (and husband) have paid 'good' money to see. (hide spoiler)]

I finally finished "Silverthorn" today. It was good, (view spoiler)[ sure leaves me knowing there is another book. If Feist had the bad luck to die after writing this, I'd have to haunt him for the ending. Thank goodness he didn't. (hide spoiler)]
