Its really good, its a bit slow to start with, but once you get passed the slow part, its amazing!! lol
I think that should deffo be in the poll!

message 24: by Char (new)

Char (CharmaineElaine) I don't have it, it would equal a trip to Amazon.

Okay so I was thinking about how to sort out the group read, give people til next Wednesday to give suggestions and then put them all in the poll and if you can't get hold of the books for a while but I can, I could lead the book discussion, if you were up for that. =)

message 25: by Tara-Jayne (♥ I Read, I Love ♥) , The Great & Mighty Mod! :P (new)

Tara-Jayne (♥ I Read, I Love ♥) Bell (tjchocolate) | 1628 comments Mod
Yes, why don't we make sure, there is a few books i have, and a few books you have in the poll, so at least one of us can lead it! basically what you just said, but in my words! :)

message 26: by Char (new)

Char (CharmaineElaine) Hahaha. Lol I love it, well I added some more books to the list this morning. =)

Tara-Jayne (♥ I Read, I Love ♥) Bell (tjchocolate) | 1628 comments Mod
I spoke to lauren, and she said, she does't really go on goodreads, so i removed her as a mod! so now there is only 4 mods!!

message 29: by Char (new)

Char (CharmaineElaine) Of course. =)

Well what Lauren was doing with the discussions I can do and if you want to you can maybe choose one of the other people who wanted to be mod from the list =)

message 30: by Tara-Jayne (♥ I Read, I Love ♥) , The Great & Mighty Mod! :P (new)

Tara-Jayne (♥ I Read, I Love ♥) Bell (tjchocolate) | 1628 comments Mod

message 31: by Char (new)

Char (CharmaineElaine) Lol, I took off the bit about Lauren being mod in the group description, I didn't want to confuse anyone =)

What sort of books are you wanting for nominations? I get the impression that a lot of the active people in this group are still teens,so is YA the way to go? Or are books aimed at adult readers also all good?

message 35: by Tara-Jayne (♥ I Read, I Love ♥) , The Great & Mighty Mod! :P (new)

Tara-Jayne (♥ I Read, I Love ♥) Bell (tjchocolate) | 1628 comments Mod
Any book, but we need it so either me, are char can talk about it! :) aka. one of us has to own it

Ivon Drew (agentid) | 227 comments Mod
well, someone can easily buy it cant we?

message 37: by Rea, Ghost (new)

Rea | 1992 comments Mod
Sounds reasonable so long as you have some variety in the books you own. :) Anywhere I can see what books you own? Or is it just put forth a few titles and you'll say if you have them or not?

message 38: by Tara-Jayne (♥ I Read, I Love ♥) , The Great & Mighty Mod! :P (new)

Tara-Jayne (♥ I Read, I Love ♥) Bell (tjchocolate) | 1628 comments Mod

and to your reply Rea, errrrm, you just say what you want, and we will look through and me and char will pick around 3 each or somit, and put it into a poll!

Will do. I seem to read quite obscure books, though. Whenever I compare books with other members on here, I generally only have a few in common (Harry Potter, Twilight, occasionally The Lovely Bones) so any that I have you're unlikely to have.

Your bookcase is mostly YA or also has a spattering of classics and adult books?

Because here I don't even have access to a library with English books beyond a smattering of Stephen King books. And after the train wrecks that were Breaking Dawn and Graceling (personal opinion only here, ofc) I am reluctant to invest in YA titles unless I'm sure I'll enjoy them.

I am sorry, but i can only pick which i have put down , i know its a bit rubbish, but hopefully Char can do way better! Sorry guys:

Life As We Knew It (Last Survivors, #1) by Susan Beth Pfeffer

The Edge by Alan Gibbons

Skellig by David Almond

Rea | 1992 comments Mod
In that case I'll go with the books I've got on my shelves.

Continuing with David Almond, I'd really like to read Kit's Wilderness (Signature) by David Almond
I loved the book as a child but my brother lost it a few years ago. Would give me the perfect excuse to buy it again.

Tim Bowler is also very good. Shadows is my favourite. Shadows by Tim Bowler

I've also got:
The Summoning (Darkest Powers, #1) by Kelley Armstrong Mondays Are Red by Nicola Morgan and a bunch that I'll save for another month.

And if you fancy a classic I've got One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest (Penguin Classics) by Ken Kesey waiting to be read. :)

message 43: by Char (new)

Char (CharmaineElaine) Rea I'm not a tenn I just prefer YA, I'm terrible lol.

As for books I'm more flexible when it comes to buying (I cadge money off my brother), Although I know for a fact I have Kit's wilderness somewhere.

So I guess that means I can throw a more books into the equation. Also I can easily get hold of most adult crime fiction, (my mummy loves them)

I have: Dracula by Bram Stoker

Frankenstein by Mary Shelley

Eragon, Eldest & Brisingr (Inheritance, #1-3) by Christopher Paolini

Noughts & Crosses (Noughts & Crosses, #1) by Malorie Blackman

The Chronicles of Narnia (#1-7) by C.S. Lewis

Glass Houses (The Morganville Vampires, #1) by Rachel Caine

Sally Lockhart Quartet by Philip Pullman

Northern Lights (His Dark Materials, #1) by Philip Pullman

1st to Die (Women's Murder Club Series #1) by James Patterson (Bridgette suggested book 9 but I think it would be better to read the series in order)

Kit's Wilderness (Readers Circle) by David Almond (As suggested by Rea)

That's a wide variety (I think anyway lol)

Ferno The Fire Dragon mostly for kids these ones

Gotrek & Felix: The First Omnibus (Warhammer)

Dragons of Autumn Twilight

i also have a couple others like:

Distant Echo

i have a LOT more, but hey, cant list em all XD

message 47: by Char (new)

Char (CharmaineElaine) Hmm... I've never heard of those, except for Skellig lol It doesn't have to be a series but I thought if we do a series then the group read is sorted for however many months lol

I know what you mean, I listed the tiniest fraction of my book collection. XD

message 48: by Ivon, I bring cookie, enjoy (new)
