This is where you tell us your all time fave, and also write a description of what it is about, and if you have a review you could also put that!

You can only have one, no more, and no less!!

my all rime favorite book, would have to be The Dreamfighter: And Other Creation Tales

A book of mysteries and magic, well mostly creation really, it is highly recommeneded to around 7 year olds but im 16 and i still enjoy it, its a book of where the animals were made by god and tales of mythical beasts and why animals act as they do, these all still match to the present day. it is on a christian religion base as it has god and the fact that he is creating the world, im barely christian myself and i still like the book.

Shannon A Long Fatal Love Chase by Lousia May Alcott.
I LOVE this book SO much I have 3 copies! 2 hardback one paperback! And I plan on getting antoher paperback that is brand new never been read, to never read. My 3 current copies are 3 different editions. :D

I have a lil shelf I'm going to put all my copies on! I need to find some awesome bookends though. Anyone know where to find bookends?!

In the book a young girl falls in love and marries. After a year of marriage she finds out the truth about him (I won't spoil it) and leaves him. He's so obsessed with her and in love with her that he hunts her down all over Europe and she can't stay away from him for long until he finds her again!

Ha!! What is it about?

message 5: by Char (new)

Char (CharmaineElaine) My all time favourite is subject to change, but I'll post a book that really moved me Stolen A letter to my captor by Lucy Christopher

A girl gets kidnapped by a guy and taken to the Australian outback where he asks her to love him. It's set in the form of a letter and you read about the girl's struggles with her emotions for her captor.

Uglies (Uglies, #1) by Scott Westerfeld

First of all this book is about people are known as Uglies (Aka, what we look like normally) until they turn 16 when they have an operation to make them pretty, but not all is what it seems.
The main character is Tally and her birthday is soon, and she can't wait, but then she makes friend with a girl called Shay and then everything changes!! Its is an amazing Adventure book, and My all time Fave!!
And its going to become a Movie!! yipeee!!

message 8: by louise (new)

louise (monstrumology) The Godfather by Mario Puzo

We all knew that this was coming! Although, I wish I'd read the book before I'd seen the film.

I'm too lazy to put the plot into my own words, so I'll just quote the blurb:

"Tyrant, blackmailer, racketeer, murder - His influence reaches every level of American society. Meet Don Corleone, a friendly man, a just man, a reasonable man. The deadliest lord of the Cosa Nostra. The Godfather.

A modern masterpiece, The Godfather is a searing portrayal of the 1920s criminal underworld. It is also the intimate story of the Corleone family, at once drawn together and ripped apart by its unique position at the core of the American Mafia."

I'm a huge fan of the movie franchise, so it's only natural that the book would be one of my favourites. I had a few to choose from, actually.

Jayde Scott (jaydescott) The Vampire by Tom Holland and The Hobbit by JRR Tolkien. The Vampire has the most original plot I've ever read. The description in The Hobbit is just stunning.

message 29: by Char (new)

Char (CharmaineElaine) I read a book by Cornelia Funke.... There was a dragon in it. I think it may have been Dragon Rider I'm not entirely sure though. It was huge! =)

Wow, that's a long way to go for a trip inspired by a book! My parents live about a 6 hour drive from Venice. I haven't been before but I might ask the bf if he'd be interested in considering a weekend there at some point. From what I've heard, it's not as nice now as it was a couple of hundred years ago. Constant water everywhere + millions of tourists will do that to a city.

message 31: by Char (new)

Char (CharmaineElaine) I've always been intrigued by Paris, it makes me think of romance... I can't swim so Venice is a no-no for me.

message 32: by Rea, Ghost (new)

Rea | 1992 comments Mod
Paris is dirty, smog-filled, not to mention run down in places. It's worth it for the museums, Notre Dame, Eiffel Tower and such, and the French food, of course. When I was last there it snowed and the whole city turned white. That was nice. But generally speaking I don't consider it very romantic. :p

message 33: by Char (new)

Char (CharmaineElaine) Dream. Shattered. I loved the Hunchback of Notre Dame (the Disney kid's version) XD Just cause you mentioned Notre Dame. =P

message 34: by Rea, Ghost (new)

Rea | 1992 comments Mod
Notre Dame is really very pretty. As is the Sacré Coeur. Paris is nice. Worth visiting once. But it's not romantic like they make it out to be. Then again, neither is Venice. The most romantic places tend to be the ones that aren't tourist traps.

message 35: by Char (new)

Char (CharmaineElaine) Hmm, so I'm looking for a little French/Italian village/town in the middle of nowhere? =P Lol.

message 36: by Rea, Ghost (new)

Rea | 1992 comments Mod
Something along those lines. Swiss mountain villages are also very quaint. But then again I prefer peace and quiet to the hustle and bustle of busy cities.

message 37: by Char (new)

Char (CharmaineElaine) Lol, right well if I ever want to go on a romantic getaway I'll Google Italy and France for villages. Xd

message 38: by Rea, Ghost (new)

Rea | 1992 comments Mod
Yup! Most of mine were to hotels in Leeds... man, that's romantic! lol

message 39: by Char (new)

Char (CharmaineElaine) Lol, wow you dated some men who knew how to treat a lady. =P

message 40: by Rea, Ghost (new)

Rea | 1992 comments Mod
Well, it was the bf. :p But it was so we'd get a weekend away without actually going away. My dorm room didn't have room for an extra person so we'd get a room in Leeds. Leeds is better than the other cities around there anyway.

message 41: by Char (new)

Char (CharmaineElaine) Fine then I'll rephrase: Wow you're dating a guy who really knows how to treat a lady. =P Fair enough though, he took you to the nicest place. He could have easily taken you to a dump.

That makes sense, I read it ages so I wasn't sure of the title..

Amanda Fryar | 15 comments One of my favorite books ever is called Truth About Forever. It's a great book about a girl who is pushed by her grandmother to take chances on a trip they take together. I haven't read it in a long time so I cant remember all of the details, but it was definitely great! :)

message 44: by Amanda (new)

Amanda Fryar | 15 comments Whoops that book is actually called Carpe Diem.

message 45: by Char (new)

Char (CharmaineElaine) Truth About Forever, I think I've heard of it. Is it by Sarah Dessen?

message 46: by Amanda (new)

Amanda Fryar | 15 comments Yeah it's my favorite one of hers! :) But that actually wasn't the book I meant to put down. haha

message 47: by Char (new)

Char (CharmaineElaine) Lol, we all make mistakes. =) I have my favourite up here but it's changed now. I like This Lullaby by her. =D

message 48: by Amanda (new)

Amanda Fryar | 15 comments I haven't read that one yet but I will as soon as I am done reading Wuthering Heights and Inkheart. :P

message 49: by Char (new)

Char (CharmaineElaine) Cool, you're reading Wuthering Heights, that's one of our group reads. I'm meant to be reading it but I'm doing a really bad job. =P

message 50: by Amanda (new)
