The Complete Idiots Guide to the Ultimate Reading List discussion

I did not really like this book. It was ok. but I keep getting bored with it and my mind would wonder. I think for the first time I can say the movie was better!!!!!

Ohhhh, I'm so sorry you felt that way! This was the book that got me hooked on Alice Hoffman, and I thought the movie was ok in comparison. I loved the imagery and characters in this book! Hoffman gives so much more than just a plot in her writing, so I enjoyed her style. This book spoke to the English teacher in me!

The book and movie were very different but I really enjoyed both. I remember being horrified when the movie came out because they made it look so ridiculous and nothing like the book. Once I saw the movie I liked it but more as it's own thing, if I had read it closer to reading the book I think it really would have bothered me.

Loved the movie more..and played the sound track till it broke lol
