Oh yeah, you've got yourself a winner there! I love that series. City of Fallen Angels was released recently and I can't wait to get my hands on it! Jace and Clary are adroable =D

I'm trying to get through Eighth Grade Bites (The Chronicles of Vladimir Tod, #1) by Heather Brewer but so far it's not capturing my interest.

message 3: by Catherine (new)

Catherine | 34 comments I just finished The Dark and Hollow Places (The Forest of Hands and Teeth, #3) by Carrie Ryan and will probably start Wither (Chemical Garden, #1) by Lauren DeStefano when I have time.

Starzee | 214 comments Mod
Oh how was The Dark and Hollow Places?

message 5: by Catherine (new)

Catherine | 34 comments Awesome! I don't usually read zombie books but I really loved this series. The way the characters think, feel and act are very realistic, I could see myself in their position and feeling the same way! The 3rd book was definitely my favourite of the series.

Hmmm, I did wonder how it would play out going by the desription on Goodreads. Also I find her writing style to be very slow paced and it seems a story like the one you're reading now would need to be written differently

message 40: by Starzee (new)

Starzee | 214 comments Mod
Oh I got that one out of my library but didn't get round to reading it. Let me know how it goes.

I'm reading several at the moment. Kiss of Fire (Dragonfire, #1) by Deborah Cooke Invincible (Chronicles of Nick #2) by Sherrilyn Kenyon River Marked (Mercedes Thompson #6) by Patricia Briggs Night Pleasures (Dark-Hunter, #1) by Sherrilyn Kenyon Enemy Lover (L.O.S.T #1) by Karin Harlow

I went to my library today! Sigh, I am such a geek. I got out about a dozen books and have just started Firespell (Dark Elite, #1) by Chloe Neill

message 42: by Catherine (new)

Catherine | 34 comments I'm reading Angelfire (Angelfire, #1) by Courtney Allison Moulton

message 43: by Catherine (new)

Catherine | 34 comments Lol, how funny. I'm reading Divergent (Divergent, #1) by Veronica Roth now and I was planning to read Die for Me (Revenants, #1) by Amy Plum after!

message 44: by Starzee (new)

Starzee | 214 comments Mod
Sigh... unfortuantely not. Everything I've read is pretty much what you described haha! Oh, though I did just finish Some Girls Bite (Chicagoland Vampires, #1) by Chloe Neill . You might like that. It is vampire, but it's not totally cliche. I must say I liked the ending and am going to hunt for the rest of the series soon.

Other than that, can't really help you. I'm on my own quest to find something unique and interesting. I'm beginning to get the feeling that if I want to read something awesome I'm going to have to write the damns tory myself lol.

message 45: by Starzee (new)

Starzee | 214 comments Mod
Me too. I read it a while back and went ito it thinking I wouldn't finish it, that it wasn't something I'd enjoy. But I loved it! I have the second one out of the library at the moment, just haven't got round to reading it.'

At the moment I'm reading This Lullaby by Sarah Dessen

message 46: by Starzee (new)

Starzee | 214 comments Mod
Yeah it's not bad. I always like Sarah Dessen's work. I love realistic fiction.

Have you read any of her books?

message 47: by Barbara ★ (last edited Jun 20, 2011 03:32PM) (new)

Barbara ★ I'm slogging through Elfland by Freda Warrington which is the first book I've read by this author. It is beautifully written but has way more detail than is required to enjoy the book. And the story and the premise don't exactly match. I'm enjoying the story but it's taken a very long time to get interesting.

message 48: by Starzee (new)

Starzee | 214 comments Mod
I find it odd that the story and premise don't exactly match. Do you think it's done on purpose or unconscious mistake by the author?

message 49: by Barbara ★ (new)

Barbara ★ I don't know. I guess the premise and story will eventually match up but I've read through 280 pages and not yet. The book is just not what I was expecting. I was expecting a book about the Fae but it's really about Fae people that are stranded on Earth and cannot get back to rejuvenate so they live totally normal human lives. It's pretty good just not what I was expecting. I keep thinking get to the point already. lol

message 50: by Starzee (new)

Starzee | 214 comments Mod
Wow, sounds intriguing. I've never heard anything like that before. Lol, 280pgs in and still wondering what the point is? At least your enjoying yourself otherwise.
