Joy H. (joyofglensfalls) | 16697 comments There are certain distinctive speaking voices which are easy to recognize. In fact, some of them stay inside our heads forever. One of these is the commanding voice of Orson Welles.
(Below is a link to a YouTube of him talking):

Any others?

Joy H. (joyofglensfalls) | 16697 comments I'm thinking of another distinctive voice, the voice of the actor who played God. I can't think of his name. Ah, I googled and found that it was Morgan Freeman, who played God in "Bruce Almighty" (2003).

Jim (jimmaclachlan) Mel Blanc was awesome. I wouldn't have called him a distinctive voice - maybe pluralize that.

Robin Williams doesn't have a particularly distinctive voice, but he does have a distinctive way of speaking. Here's a scene where he plays the voice of Batty, an escaped lab bat in "Fern Gully". It's kind of long, but there's a couple of parts that are great.

I love, "Oops! Gravity works!" & after the rap song when he is following her out of the forest, then runs into a tree.

Joy H. (joyofglensfalls) | 16697 comments Jim, I had forgotten that Bugs Bunny was really Mel Blanc. :) Yes, Mel Blanc was a man of many voices.

And yes, Robin Williams does have a style of his own. Here's another good sample of him doing his thing: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hgT707...

(2 minutes/43 seconds long) He's wild!
