I'm feeling a bit guilty about 'dropping the book' on the March 2011 BotM discussion so I'm trying to come up with a way to streamline things a wee bit.

Here's my thinking about setting up a plan for the BotM so that it's a bit easier for me to stay on top of and I'd really LOVE some feedback. If you like this idea, let me know. And if you don't, that's OK...also let me know but try to suggest an alternative.

Rather than go back through our many fantastic discussions (and primarily as I'm always so pressed for time at the moment), I thought I would use this thread for suggestions for the rest of 2011. Please feel free to repeat any favorite authors or titles you've mentioned before or to add new ones to be put in the mix. On the 30th of April, I'll then pick out a list for the remaining months of 2011. Once that's done - I'll post the list as a closed thread so that existing and members and new members can just check the list and jump on board in the relevant book discussion thread. And I'll keep this thread open for suggestions to start piling up for 2012...if your suggestion doesn't show up for 2011, I'll be using the list to at least start off the list for 2012 so hopefully everyone's favorite will be included at some point.

Does that sound OK with everyone???? :-) Looking for to feedback and author/title suggestions soon!

whimsicalmeerkat I think it'd be enjoyable to read something by Rex Stout. The fact that he's an American but definitely writes in the English mystery style could make for an interesting twist.

2 suggested titles from this list of authors:

A Taste For Death

The Last Kashmiri Rose
I recently read the Kashmiri Rose and I can recommend all books by PD James but really remember the Taste being a really good read.
