I have to agree:-D Poor Jared, he is just so unattractive and annoying;) Actually I don't hate/dislike him as much as I used too, both because of the bonus chapter and because it seems everybody dislikes him - so the intensity of my dislike was superfluos

Well... Jared's main concern was Melanie. He hated Wanda because she was basically hurting a loved one, Melanie. When Wanda got out of Melanie's body Jared was perfectly fine with everything. Don't hate Jared.... :)

But I can't blame him, I think I'll do the same (not really the same but close to that) if my loved one is being hurt.
Ian is way better because Jarad really only wanted Melanie's body back until Wanda as herself was usful to him (the raids). Or that's how it felt to me. To give Jarad credit, though, he never tried to actually kill Wanda like Ian did at the begining. But once EVERYONE found out who, and how nice, Wanda really was, Ian came out on top for me.
