I like Jace better

I like Jace better too. :) He always cracks me up with his sarcasm.

Opposites attract that is why they are such a good couple.

Jace yeah... but i hate how clary's left outta everything.

Jace! No Clary! No Jace! No Clary! No Jace! No Clary! No Jace! No Clary! No Jace! No Clary! No Jace! No Clary! No Jace! No Clary! No Jace! No Clary! No Jace! No Clary! I can't decide!

Jace is always beating himself up over things that he had no control over and pulling away from Clary, it sometimes makes me dislike him as a character. But overall, I still like him better then Clary who reminds me of Vanilla.

i've just finished city of ashes and to be honest i'm pretty bored with both of them. don't even know if I'll bother with the next one if its the same stuff all over again.

hahaha hmmm I wanna be different so I am going to say Clary. NAH! Jace is the best, funny sucker!

Haha shouldn't it be Jace vs. Simon?? haha, I like both, and it's so sad with their situation (I don't want to mention it, because it's probably a serious spoiler!) but I only just finished the second one. I love these books! And I can't wait for the movie next year! I just wish Alex Pettyer had taken on the role as Jace, not Jamie Campbell...but oh well, I will still totally see it!!

apparently Xavier Samuel may get it. But thats some rumor, well not really he auditioned and the casting people also liked him :/

OH COME ON PEOPLE!Yes, I do recognize that Jace is H-O-T and clever and sassy and all that.... yes, I am in love with him just like any other girl but Clary kicks BUTT! she is so awesome, brave, clever, cunning, and dramatic.... how can you all be blind to Clary's awesomeness!?

I can't do a vs.... I love both Clary and Jace too much. I'm so glad things turned out good. For those of you who've read, I'm sure the ends of both books 1 and 2 kind of drove you nuts. If not, then it's just me. haha

I used to like Jace so much. But don't you think he has changed a lot? His character is not that interesting anymore, I think...

Totally agreed! He's so whiny and obnoxious. Though I stopped reading after the 4th book, so maybe he's changed even further. Simon was always my favorite, but even he got obnoxious.

I also had the same problem with Will in the Infernal Devices series. I liked him to begin with and now he's started to bother me. Of course, Will and Jace are practically the same character...

For the first three books, I liked Jace better. Love his sarcasm. I found Clary a little annoying though. But after the fourth book, his character was totally ruined. That's why I stopped.

I liked Will in the beginning too before he started pining after Tessa all the time. But he's still funny when he's not in a mood.

I have to agree. At first his sarcasm is kind of funny but as the series goes on the jokes begin to get old and he is just annoying and so self-conceited.

Jace Wayland/Morgenstern/Lightwood/Herondale, whatever his last name is :)

Jace, in my opinion, is by far the more in depth and well-developed character. He has inner demons that he tries to wrestle, often thinking of himself as the "bad guy," even when he is trying to act for the greater good.

Clary, while I love the relationship she has with the characters and know is often relatable, is sometimes the element that makes me want to throw the books against a wall (or out a window). Why Clary?!

But I still love both characters and the book flying threw a window only means I care /that much/ about the series!

Jace. I find Clary whiny and not a very good shadowhunter.
