E.A. Bucchianeri | 13 comments Hello Goodreads fans!
At last, I've finally finished my first novel:

Brushstrokes of a Gadfly
(Due to be released c. May 21, 2011)

Creative and impetuous, Katherine Walsingham has simple but grand plans after she receives her Masters degree in art--to defiantly strive for the highest ideals in her work contrary to modernist trends, and, like many artists, to open her own gallery, right in the heart of fashionable Manhattan, never suspecting the successes and triumphs, bumps and trials that will head her way. Consumed with her career goals and not prepared to settle down just yet, she discovers life and love have a strange way of turning all her best laid plans topsy-turvy ... with bittersweet consequences.

Brushstrokes of a Gadfly is a story brimming with vibrant and entertaining characters that only New York's High Society and art circles can provide. It is a colourful and amusing novel tinged with human tragedy.

Sean Cronin | 8 comments Hi, E. A.
Good to see you here. Good to see you pushing your book. Are the other titles, above, non-fiction?

E.A. Bucchianeri | 13 comments Hi Sean, nice to meet you.

Yes, my other titles so far are non-fiction,

"Faust: My Soul be Damned for the World" features an indepth exploration of the historical Faust, and how his life and legend influenced and inspired later playwrights, authors and musicians. (Well, I'll be digging in to the musicians when I get to Vol 3. Faust is still a work in progress!)

"Handel's Path to Covent Garden" reveals Handel's real love was Italian Opera seria, and when that began to fail in popularity, how he almost ruined his opera career and began experimenting with oratorios instead.

"A Compendium of Essays" features six essays about several major composers, including Andrew Lloyd Webber and his "Phantom of the Opera"!

My new novel was meant to be a break from all this non-fiction, I hope people will enjoy my first flight of fancy.

Sean Cronin | 8 comments Wow, E.A. prodigious output on heavy subjects. Obviously, you like the subjects you treat.
Is your novel on Amazon? Please remind me.

E.A. Bucchianeri | 13 comments Yes, I do like the subjects, if it doesn't intrigue you, you won't be able to stick with a project I find, and I agree-- heavy subjects! I got a "brain fever" during Faust, hence my first novel. I'm in recovery, I needed a break!

The novel's not out yet, sometime next month, and it will be available on Amazon. (Sorry, no e-book.)
I'm a stickler for good old fashioned, hold-in-the-hand books.
