Probably my #1 is Percy Jackson and the Olympians series and in that series would be the last book : The Last Olympian. And my first 2 favorite authors are is Jessica Day George and Laure Kreitzer( I just started reading her books and there amazing!)

message 7: by [deleted user] (new)

It changes constantly. I read any type of book really.
For example just three days ago, my favourite series was the Harry Potter series and today, it's the Alex Rider series. As I said, it is consantly changing.

I've never read the Percy Jackson series.
Note to self: Add Percy Jackson series on the very very very long list of books to read right under, 'Finishing the Hunger Games series' but in front of finding out what's so bad about 'Romeo and Juliet'

:p

My to read list is getting very very big these days.

message 13: by Aurora (new)

Aurora Hmm...this is a hard question. I don't read many single books; I love series. There are two series I really like:
Percy Jackson by Rick Riordan
TimeRiders by Alex Scarrow (visit time-riders.co.uk!)

My favorite single book is probably Life of Pi by Yann Martel

message 14: by Jacy (new)

Jacy (jazabell) | 73 comments Like so many, I love lots of authors and tons of books. It would be very unfair to say that I have only one favorite. That being said, there is one book that really started my love for reading. I have read it so many times that my original copy is falling apart. My love affair with "The Witch of Blackbird Pond" by Elizabeth George Speare started when I was in 4th grade, I was 10 years old and every time I pick up that book I feel as though I'm reading it for the first time.

Cassie (cassie_the_weird) ♥ Innocent Lamb ~ Forever Reading ♥ wrote: "Harry Potter will always be a classic. Most of these book would probably fall under my favs list too. I haven't read Space Demons though, what is it about?"

It's an Australian book, it was published back in the 80's, so it took me a long time to find it and buy it...
It's about a video game, called Space Demons, that this kid called Andrew gets as a present from his Dad, who's a doctor whose just come back from Japan. Andrew plays it and gets immediately hooked on the game and gets his best friend, Ben, to try it out...As it turns out, the game is actually partially alive, and when you reach a certain score, you can actually get inside the game. Basically, Andrew, Ben and two other kids (Mario & Elaine) get caught up in this addictive, dangerous game, which gets stronger the more you 'hate', and they have to finish the game before it completely destroys their lives.
That probably isn't a great explaination...but it's actually really good.

message 26: by [deleted user] (new)

Seems interesting...

message 27: by Kelly (new)

Kelly (RandomKell) | 17 comments Favourite books would be the Harry Potter series and Hunger Games series.... Favourite author is Virginia Andrews... hands down no question about it, love all the books I have read so far and looking forward.to reading more.... despite the majority negative opinion of the ghostwriter's work under her name....

message 28: by [deleted user] (new)

1. Vampire Academy - Rishelle Mead.
2. Fallen - Lauren Kate.
3. The Hunger Games - Susan Collins.

message 29: by [deleted user] (new)

I never read past the first book in the Fallen series. Does the story get better and better as you go along? From what I read from the blurb of Bk2 in the series, it seemed a bit repetitive... Would you recommend that people read it?

message 30: by [deleted user] (new)

Well... Let me put it this way - There are a lot of other romance books. And many that are better than Fallen. But i just fall inlove with this book because the story isn't only something like ''I am inlove with the hottest guy ever and he loves me back.'' ... There is more adventure. More fantasy that makes you go in the book not as reader only but like the story is real and happening around you. If you read carefully the book i am sure you will love it. (If you love romance novels of course :) ) ... The book is one of my favorite. So yes. I Reccomend people to read it (Girls of course. It is too romantic for guys :) )

message 31: by [deleted user] (new)

Ok, thanks. I'll give the book a try. Thanks again. :)
