Ok. I hate science and do not understand it one bit. we are working on the likes of waves, sound waves, light waves, etc. and i do not understand the hw she gave us. I've been able to fudge the others but this one's really go me stumped.
4. Does water moving through a hose qualify as a wave? explain why or why not.
(please not in special science language because i no speak that.)

I'm not sure, I'm studying a similar thing now and I'm also not very good at it. :/

And the answer is no, though Im not exactly sure how to explain why.

i think itd be considered a stream because a wave is moving wildly and uncontrolled

No Cici, but that's a good guess. Waves made in the water are different from energy waves

Ok so this is how someone online answered it (they also said no):

No, but it is a medium through which waves can travel. If you suddenly shut off the tap,
 it takes a limited amount of time before the water will stop flowing from the far end of the hose. 
The change in flow has to spread in wave-like fashion down the length of the hose.

I wouldnt use that for my answer though. Id say just ask your teacher and have him/her explain.
