Kissie (itskissiebxtch) | 106 comments do you think hardcover or paperback is better to get and why

message 2: by [deleted user] (new)

hardcover so the book doesnt get hurt

message 3: by Mike (new)

Mike | 509 comments hardover. the book doesnt get damaged, and hardcover editions look nicer. All of my Gone books are hard cover except for Gone haha

Anika | 623 comments Hardcovers are better. But paperbacks are cheaper! :)

message 5: by Mike (new)

Mike | 509 comments haha i always try to get the hardcover if the store has them, but my mom doesnt understand shes like " just get a paperback theyre cheaper" . she doesnt get that hardcovers are just much better haha

message 6: by [deleted user] (new)

i always get hardcover
of course if you saw how i treated my stuff then you would insist on getting the books the extra protection from the hard cover :P idk if your a complete mess then dont trust yourself to get paperbacks. they will get destroyed!!

message 7: by Anika (new)

Anika | 623 comments Most of the paperbacks I have are in very good condition :) I am extremely protective over my books lol.

omg same

message 10: by Alli (new)

Alli (allic) it depends if i have the other books in the series in pb or hc... but most of my stand alones are paperback.

i think all books are hard to keep in mint condition, no matter if it's hardcover or paperback.

message 11: by Naomi (new)

Naomi (masterofcoolness) | 360 comments i like both

ya i hate buying books in a series in paperback cause then you have to wait even longer for it to come out

message 13: by Alli (new)

Alli (allic) ikr? but with my TMI series, i bought the first two in pb, so i had to wait forever to get CoG in pb. and now i still haven't read CoFA....*sob* i wish they released hc and pb at the same time...

message 14: by Rose (: (new)

Rose (: (RoseisRoseisRose) | 125 comments TMI? I need a new book series, is this TMI good?
And personally although pb is cheaper, there's nothing like a brand new hc book. :D

message 15: by Kissie (new)

Kissie (itskissiebxtch) | 106 comments yes, what is tmi series

message 16: by Mike (new)

Mike | 509 comments The Mortal Instruments, i think

message 17: by Rose (: (new)

Rose (: (RoseisRoseisRose) | 125 comments Ah, that makes sense. Anyone know if they're any good?

message 18: by Kissie (new)

i have 2 of them
i started reading the first chapter and stopped
i dont like it

message 19: by Alli (new)

Alli (allic) ugh, i loved it. it's kinda cliche' but in a nice way. i think. it has to do with the whole demon-demon hunter thing. with a side or romance, obvi.

message 20: by Grace (new)

Grace | 637 comments I just get all my books at the library...
I need a job. -_-

message 21: by Dessy (new)

Dessy | 4 comments I like hard cover. Because when I get paper back I always ruin the binding by stretching it too much.

message 22: by Alli (new)

Alli (allic) yeah, but that can happen with hc too.

message 23: by Mike (new)

Mike | 509 comments Paulina wrote: "The Mortal Instruments? I really like them but there is an obvious resemblance to several other books. It is sort of similar to Harry Potter and many people compare them to Star Wars as well"

its also very similar to The Chronicles of Nick

message 24: by [deleted user] (new)

i sugesst hc u never know wat could happen and they could get hurt, hc protects them

message 25: by Naomi (new)

Naomi (masterofcoolness) | 360 comments i like both

Alli (allic) Mike wrote: "Paulina wrote: "The Mortal Instruments? I really like them but there is an obvious resemblance to several other books. It is sort of similar to Harry Potter and many people compare them to Star War..."

nooo, TMI is nothing like HP or star wars!! and I don't think it's anyting like CON either. i couldn't even finish the first book of that series.

message 27: by Mike (new)

Mike | 509 comments yeha that series really is bad, but it reminded me of TMI ( other than how much CON sucked)

message 28: by Alli (new)

Alli (allic) how? i don't see any resemblance between the series.

message 29: by Mike (new)

Mike | 509 comments because they both involved a group meant to protect humans from demons and mythical beings. they have vampires, werewolfs etc. I dont see a resemblance in the story line, but i do in the setting and themes

message 30: by Alli (new)

Alli (allic) true. ugh, please don't compare them.

message 31: by Mike (new)

Mike | 509 comments haha sorry, by saying that im comparing a great book series to a terrible one.

message 32: by Naomi (new)

Naomi (masterofcoolness) | 360 comments why does this group always go off topic?

message 33: by Alli (new)

Alli (allic) all groups always go off topic. that's just how groups work.

message 34: by Naomi (new)

Naomi (masterofcoolness) | 360 comments lollz

message 35: by Brandon (new)

Brandon | 2015 comments it makes every thing interesting by the way i like HC because the covers of my PBs get folded and bent

message 36: by [deleted user] (new)

hardcover

message 37: by Jay (new)

Jay Hardcover

message 38: by [deleted user] (new)

I always protect my books from harm. All my paperbacks are in good condition. But my hardbacks are better so HB

message 39: by [deleted user] (new)

i alwayz go to buy HB but usaly she trades it for PB

message 40: by Kissie (new)
