I was just doing a few Twilight Saga questions which I love to do and had one asking who killed Bree and I am sure it was Jane in Breaking Dawn but this person put it as Carlisle in Eclipse. This baffles me competely. Any ideas on why someone would think this?

Lindis Russell (lindyloudawn) | 19 comments Nope, It was Felix. Felix is like the thug, the muscle, the cooler of the Volturi. Jane ordered him to do it. On the last page of The Short Second Life of Bree Tanner, Jane says "Take care of that, Felix," then she nodded at Bree, "I want to go home." And you're right, it was in Breaking Dawn also, Whoever did that question was WAY off. Carlisle valued all human/vampire life. He would only kill someone if was for the safety of his family. Esme and Carlisle tried to save Bree. I wish they had, because I liked her! : )

I liked Bree too and felt they should have given her a chance. I could not remember it was Felix but know it wasn't Carlisle. Watch out for that bad question. I marked it as wrong but its always a few days before they do something about it.

Carlisle killing Bree. Um, I believe this person was a little delusional.

yes, it made me wonder if that was the only book she read The Second Short Life of Bree Tanner. Guess we should just try to laugh about it.

Actually, you are right about it not being Carlisle but it was not in Breaking Dawn. Bree was killed in Eclipse. If you will remember, Bree was a newborn vampire created by Victoria and Riley. She was a part of the newborn army that the Cullens and the wolves fought at the end of Eclipse.

The Short Second Life of Bree Tanner

Thanks Chastity. I actually have this book but maybe its time to read it again.

Cinderela | 1 comments Can't believe that, maybe you're right and the only book she read was The Second Short Life of Bree Tanner. < Which btw I've never been inclined to read. Should I be?

message 9: by [deleted user] (new)

Hi Cinderela, Well......I love it but then I am an extreme Twi-hard even making a trip to Forks and The Twilight CD is playing right now. In Breaking Dawn I felt much sympathy for Bree and even more when I read the book which I just read again. I was sick when we got home from leaf peeping so up with asthma and I picked it up and couldn't put it back down to get back to my library book. This time my feelings for Bree were slightly different as I felt she was dumber. However, I liked her even more! I also wish Stephenie Meyer would write a whole book about Fred who is a gifted vampire. But do remember I am obsessive getting every single Twilight thing that I can possibly own! I have watched the movie over 50 times!

If you've liked the other four books in the Twilight Saga, I'd definately suggest that you read The Short Second Life of Bree Tanner. The story telling is as good, perspective is again from the POV of a smart young girl, there's a potential love interest, and SM has improved as a writer with time.

What's not to like?

message 11: by [deleted user] (new)

Yes, she loved Diego too much and might have lived if she had gone on with Fred. I kept wanting her to and it was like watching a movie where you see the heroine moving toward the monster and keep saying "Run!". That is how I felt this second time I read it.

Tonight the Bible is up for all the questions that have been done about it and one was the "lion will lie down with the lamb" and guess what? Its NOT in the Bible. I got it wrong as I thought it was there. I have been researching and researching. If you know where this is please let me know, OK? Here is one of the references:
Isaiah chapter 11...down to about verse 6. "And the WOLF also shall dwell with the lamb, and the leopard shall lie down with the kid; and the calf and the young lion and the fatling together; and a little child shall lead them.
7. And the cow and the bear shall feed; their young ones shall lie down together; and the lion shall eat straw like an ox."

Another line attributed to The Bible that is NOT there is "fools rush in where angels fear to tread..." not there.

Here are some scary words from the next chapter: 13 - "Therefore I will shake the heavens, and the earth shall remove out of her place, in the wrath of the Lord of hosts, and in the day of his fierce anger.

21. But wild beasts of the desert shall dance there; and their houses shall be full of doleful creatures; and owls shall dwell there, and satyrs shall dance there."
