Aah, not Roman history, but Romani - also historically known as Gypsies.

Yes, just asking about "Roman history" is way too broad, haha! I'd hope that I would know better than that. :)

You might want to try Bury Me Standing: The Gypsies and Their Journey by Isabel Fonseca.
