I have read all of the Hunger Games and through book 5 of Black Dagger and through book 5 of Dark Hunter. In terms of substance, the Hunger Games is the most dense and thought-provoking.
Black Dagger and Dark Hunters are more PNR. I enjoyed the first several BDB, but after book 5, I felt like they started to get a little repetitive.
I think I actually prefer the Dark Hunters over BDB. They are a little lighter in tone, but really great.
Enjoy!

I love, love, love the Black Dagger Brotherhood. It is by far my favorite series!!!
The Dark Hunter Series is also very good, it's a huge series, so maybe you could read a few and then take a break and read a different book so you don't get burnt out (that's what I found myself doing).
If I can add a series for you to think about it would be the Dark (Carpathians) Series by Christine Feehan. It's good too! I find the Dark (Carpathians) and the Dark-Hunter Series is compared to each other a lot. I would not recommend reading the two series at the same time though. They are both huge (22 books in the Dark (Carpathians) and like 20 in the Dark-Hunter series). If and when you read them I'd love to know what you think about them!!
The Dark Hunter series by Sherrilyn Kenyon
The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins
The Black Dagger Brotherhood by J. R. Ward
I have NookColor in which I will probably ultimately purchse said books on but my bestie has The Hunger Games and Dark Hunter series and said I could borrow them from her. So I am torn. I like owning the books to reread when i want but this is such a hard coice lol.
