I've been enjoying the Justin de Quicy books by Sharon Kay Penman. They're medieval murder mysteries and they're really quite interesting. I started the Wicked Lovely series but I'm not too big into fairies so I'm going to shelve those for now. I read the first two books and really enjoyed them but was having trouble getting into the third book. I'll get back to Wicked Lovely.

Maureen | 3 comments Hello, I'm reading Touched by an Alien by Gini Koch. It's a little different from what i've been reading but I like it. With the help of a unsuspecting woman, Handsom Armani wearing Aliens try to stop parasitic aliens.

Gothica Noctua (gothicanoctua) I'm reading all sorts of stuff to get ready for my English studies in September, but regarding personal reading, I've a very short way into The Inimitable Jeeves by P.G. Wodehouse. I can't say much about it as I'm not very far into it at all, but it seems quite funny and I'm enjoying it.

The last book I read, The Picture of Dorian Gray by Oscar Wilde, was pretty good, though for me personally, the story only really took off towards the end. "Dorian Gray" is quite a famous book, but for anyone not in the know, it's a rather macabre Victorian tale about a handsome young man who has his portrait painted and vainly wishes that the painting would age instead of him. His wish comes true, but over the years, the effects of it cause his life to be slowly plunged into terror. As I said, for me, the book took a while to get going, but I was hooked by the end.
