This is my favorite Holmes book not written by the original author. What did everyone else think of it?

Haven't read it yet.

I think I need to give the series another chance- I thought the first book was okay, but I've heard the series gets better as the books go on. I really liked Holmes's character, also. It was much more likeable than it was in the original series. I just didn't like Watson's. I know he's not the brightest person in the world, but he was characterized as a "bumbling idiot" in this series! Is he in the other books, also?

Amazing! The first book anyway. What's the second?

I think I might have read the whole series actually.... What's the last one about?

Stacie (shanes13) Even though this is an old thread, I just finished this and thought I would comment on here. I thought it was very well written. I liked Mary and Sherlock's relationship and thought it was believable.
