Hey everyone!! I'm trying to figure out a good way to let you reviewers let the authors know you rip rearin to go with reviewing their books. I don't want to do one forum post for it because eventually it will become too muddled for anyone to find anything.

What I can suggest is that I will put a folder up called "Looking to Review". The reviewers can put their names in this list and state what type of books they are looking for. Authors - still use the section Called Author's looking for Reviewers to put your book in. Make sure you make a new topic for each of your books so they don't get lost in one big forum post. I want your books to get some individual attention.

So if you authors see someone in the reviewers section, send them an email asking them if they would like to review your book, rather than on the forum to keep it from being all over the place. Reviewers: If you see something on the authors page, talk away to the author about their book. I think this is the best way to keep things from becoming too crowded and difficult to read. :)

Becca Chopra (beccachopra) | 11 comments I'd love to have reviewers in your group check out my novel The Chakra Diaries.

My first reviewer described it as "new age fiction you'll want to read for its wisdom as much as for its drama and sensuality."

It contains interwoven stories of 10 people journeying toward a happier life, seen through the eyes of the chakras, or emotional energy centers in yogic tradition. Whether you've heard of chakras or not, the stories resonate with all the human emotions.

REVIEWERS: If you'd like a free pdf, just send your email address to becca@thechakras.org.

Thanks!

Shaeeza Haniff | 5 comments Hi
I'm available for reviewing. I accept PDF and will write a review, tweet it and also add to my blog.

My book The Rice Bag Hammockis available for reviews. It is a picture read aloud book for children, if you are unable to do a review, please recommend someone who could do it.

Thanks,
Shaeeza

Laurie (barksbooks) (barklesswagmore) Hi Amy,

Just my 2 cents and that's about all it's worth! If you have a big enough response to "Looking to Review" it could get a bit messy and unwieldy. Maybe a sticky folder, containing a list of genres with corresponding links to the profile pages of available reviewers would be helpful instead? I don't know what it would take to organize and edit a list like that though.

I was wondering about that myself too, but I figured I would try it this way at first, and if it becomes too much, I was going to break it down. The only problem is that so many of us read vastly different genres of books. It was a bit complicated..So I thought if the people just put their names and what they liked and stayed away from. Then the authors could message them privately to keep it a bit cleaner.

I will definitely keep your idea in the back of my head if it starts to get jumbled. If everyone follows the guidelines, it should work *Kinda* ok...LOL

Renate Linnenkoper (renate_linnenkoper) | 5 comments Hey guys!

I just published my debut novel and I'm looking for reviews (I haven't got any yet).

Exogenesis is a paranormal/urban fantasy with crime, romance and thriller elements.

When a respectable doctor mysteriously dies and his death is subsequently ruled a homicide, it sends shock-waves through the English village of Helmsley. As the investigation unfolds, few clues are found and only the local priest, Father Montgomery, and the doctor's daughter, Siobhan, seem at all affected by the man's passing. To make matters worse, the newspaper start writing scandalous stories about the murder and to top it all off, the body, not yet cold in the ground, is stolen from its coffin without a trace.

When Siobhan starts suffering from terrifying, prophetic dreams and a collection of Satanic books are found in the doctor's closet, the investigation takes a paranormal turn and demonic forces they never knew existed come into play. As Siobhan tries to familiarize herself with this unknown world, she is thrown off-balance by two completely different men - both of whom strangers from out of town. But can she trust her feelings? Can she trust them? Lies will unravel and secrets are revealed as a showdown with her father's killer creeps closer.

Just when she thinks nothing can surprise her anymore, she is granted a visit from Satan himself (he prefers to be called Lucifer, which has a nicer ring to it), who is not at all as she imagined and makes her a surprising offer. Angels, demons and humans face off in this paranormal fantasy series that proves politics exists not only on Earth. 'Exogenesis' only shows the tip of the ice-berg. War is coming. An apocalyptic celestial war that will forever change the face of the Earth.

If you are interested, email me at: renatelinnenkoper@hotmail.com and I will email you a PDF/desired format.

Thanks!

Cassie McCown (cassie629) | 713 comments I also have a very full to-read/review list at the moment, but I am more than happy to add others! I will get through them as quickly as I possibly can! After the middle of this month, things will hopefully settle down a lot & I will have more time!

I will read/proof/review just about anything. Children's, historical, paranormal, YA, fantasy, epic, romance, dystopian, fiction, nonfiction... I might draw the line at extremely graphic/raunchy erotica or horror, etc. :-) The only way to tell for sure is to send me a description...

I typically prefer .mobi files for my Kindle, but print copies, PDF, .epub, etc are all okay!

If anyone is interested in a feature on my blog--review, interview, guest post, giveaway...please message me!

Diane Majeske (dlmajeske) | 1 comments Hi, reviewers!

I would be very interested in having someone review "Death on Deadline," my debut mystery novel.

I'm a former newspaper journalist turned fiction writer, and my mystery takes place (where else?) in a newsroom. It's a (hopefully) humorous novel with an amateur sleuth named America Miles who's also a small-town reporter. When her nasty editor falls over dead and her best friend is blamed, America starts looking a little closer at her town and her co-workers. She soon finds out that even small-town reporting can be dangerous.

I had a lot of fun writing this; I hope you'll have fun reading it. If you're interested, please e-mail me at diane.majeske@att.net and I'll happily send you a copy.

Thank you for your consideration.

Diane Majeske

I am looking for some reviewers for my book. It is a YA (that everyone would enjoy:) fantasy/sci-fi set in modern Egypt against the backdrop of the current revolution and uprising. It is the first installment of a series "Battle for Maat."
This the serie's website http://www.battleformaat.com/

Anyone interested in reviewing please contact me at write4everama@gmail.com

I will offer a review for your book in exchange, if you'd like. I will read any genre, but have a preference for fantasy and the supernatural.

Aliya (rubyscribe) Hi:

I'm looking for someone to review my short (20 page) e-book about 11 very controversial ladies known as the "wives of Muhammad".

If you read my book you'd read surprising facts about the actual age of Ayesha the infamous "child bride" and about her status as an intellectual giant of Islam, which is more in line with 21st century feminism than 7th century Arabia.

Looking forward to hearing from you!

Lacey Reah (laceyreah) | 5 comments I think the folder idea is great.

I've been lurking on goodreads for a while so I thought I'd post here. I wrote a very original book about bisexual vampires who feed on the power of orgasming blood. It is based on the idea that sex is a creative and life giving force. It is an erotica and a vampire story that is very character driven. If anyone is interested in reviewing it, let me know and I will send you a free copy. A sample, synopsis and reviews can be found here:

Mindbenders by Ted Krever Mindbenders is a thriller about the cream of the Soviet mind control program, now living in America and seeking revenge for the death of his best friend.
Green by Ted Krever Green is a comic novel about a man at low ebb, whose female best friend invites him to visit her in Ireland. And he thinks, maybe this time I should let her catch me. And then falls madly in love with the local barmaid.

Elise Stokes (elisestokes_cassidyjones) | 8 comments Hello!

My debut novel, CASSIDY JONES AND THE SECRET FORMULA, the first book in the Cassidy Jones Adventures series, was released at the beginning of the year. The series is written like a comic book from the perspective of Cassidy Jones, an average fourteen-year-old girl whose senses, strength, and speed are radically enhanced after a minor accident. The target audience are girls ranging from ages 12-16, but as you will note on Goodreads, Facebook, and Amazon, Cassidy Jones has great cross-over appeal:

Robert Clear (robertclear) | 5 comments Hi everyone, my name's Robert and I'm looking for reviewers for my paranormal comedy novel, The Cambridge List. If anyone thinks they might be interested, here's the blurb:

James Connor thinks that murdering his former professors in cold blood is rather a bad idea. Unfortunately his head has been commandeered by a bloodthirsty family of Greek gods, so he doesn’t have a say in the matter. With Hera and Aphrodite at each other’s throats and Dionysos failing to keep order, James’s brain has become a cosmic conflict zone, and he’s worried they’ll leave it in ruins. There’s only one way out: he has to go from socially inept young man to slick sociopath fast. If only he wasn’t so squeamish about mass slaughter.

Follow the world’s least menacing serial killer on his awkwardly murderous journey through the little town of Cambridge, where ancient rituals, scheming academics and divine politics collide. And where murder has consequences unforeseen even by the gods themselves…

You can check out a free sample on my blog: www.the-cambridge-list.blogspot.com

If you like the look of it, you can email me at latinvsgreek@hotmail.com

Best wishes
Robert

Their only choice is to flee to the forbidden and quarantined planet Earth, but it could turn out to be a one-way trip. To return home, they must find an ancient crystal, that once belonged to Merlin, to power the return portal. When the twins stumble upon the location of the crystal, the local crime boss who has a connection to the crystal as well sends out his assassin to retrieve it. Can Darius and Dyla use their PSI powers to open the portal home and reclaim their throne before the assassin catches up to them?

I am interested in finding a reviewer for two books that my mom and a friend have published after co-founding FUZE Publishing. One they wrote themselves, ("Satan's Chamber", a spy thriller with a female protagonist) and another, a memoir, written by an interesting couple who spent 10 years in Bolivia, watching the transformation and destruction of a small Quechua town due to a silver mine discovery of the husband(called "The Gift of El Tio"). I don't see the "looking for review" folder. Can someone direct me to this? Thanks much! Meg Tinsley

Cassie McCown (cassie629) | 713 comments Meg and Julia,

It is fine to ask for reviews here, but giving your books their own topic will make it easier for everyone to see.

If you have not found it already, the folder where you can post asking for reviews is here:

http://www.goodreads.com/topic/group_...

Just go to that address and then click "new topic" to post a new topic specifically for your book(s).

It helps us if you include links, either to your books here on Goodreads or Amazon or wherever we can see a synopsis. You may also post a short synopsis of each book within the topic.

Also, if you are providing free copies (print or ebook), it is nice if you specify what formats you can provide.

I have LOTS of books on my to-review list at the moment, but I am always willing to add more if you are willing to wait a little while for my reviews.

Julia, I am ALWAYS up for some children's books! I have three children ages 6 and under. Children's books are easier for me to get to also because they are usually shorter & I can read them to the kids during our story time (multi-tasking ;-)).

Either of you are welcome to email me at gatheringleavesreviews [at] gmail [dot] com or you can message me here on GR.

Hope all this helps!

For those of you who love a good SHORT STORY, mine is a fantasy about two sisters relationship. It is called The Seamstresses.
The Seamstresses by Elle Lapraim

Her sister who died two years earlier is there to tell Yin about their true calling in this strange and wonderful place. But Yin’s sister is hiding something that will alter Yin’s view

Jan Hurst-Nicholson (janhurst-nicholson) | 16 comments I would like to offer my books for review, but I need a bit of clarification on providing copies of the books. I can offer my children's books as a PRC, which can be read on a Kindle. But as I live in South Africa I am charged an extra $2 per book on my 99c books as a whispernet charge if I gift a book through Amazon (even to someone in the US) so that makes it a bit expensive (exchange rate). Do reviewers accept PDF copies, or does it depend on the individual reviewer?

message 47: by Cassie (new)

Cassie McCown (cassie629) | 713 comments Most of us will accept just about anything. I, personally, have no problem with either prc or PDF.

Overall, it is the individual reviewers' preference, and you will have to discuss that with them. :-)
