Chuck | 17 comments I can't find any clear information in the User's manual as to how to do backups of downloaded books. Is it sufficient to make copies of B&N Downloads/Books onto one's PC. Also, is there any recourse to losses of downloaded purchases in case of accidental destruction of the Color Nook or technical device failure??

BTW, I'm disappointed that in over a week there is no answer to a technical question I posed.

~Jennifer~ (book_addiction) Purchases will still be available in your B&N account. If you go to your B&N Library online you can see every purchase and even download from there. In the event that one of the books does not download you can call the Nook number and tech support there will fix it. If something happens to your NC and you're sent a replacement or you buy a new one, once you activate it to your account, it will download the books already purchased. Hope that helps.

Chuck | 17 comments Thanks on the recovery. . . so do I have it correct that one need not back up book files because they are always available online from B&N.

That is a good solution.

LindaD (freedom333) | 8 comments yep, that's why they require an account so they have your library forever available
