Hi Kim,

Thank you. I have 2 to 3 chapters left to write, and then the editing begins.

Looks like our family will be going gluten free. My 10-year-old, pasta loving, pizza craving daughter is being tested for Celiac. Apparently, it's a genetic anomaly. My mom had it. At first we were a little worried— bye, bye Krispy Kreme, but when we found out chocolate was a go… well… things are starting to look up!

Tried my first gluten free recipe last night: Spicy Shrimp and Coconut Rice. Not bad!!!

Kim | 8 comments The world is becoming more Gluten free. Hopefully your new adventures in cooking will bring on some yummy recipes. I hope you daughter is feeling better!

Fry's had almost as much gluten free items as Wholefoods, and did you know that almost the whole line of See's Candies are gluten free? I'm lucky. My duaghter is 100 percent on board. She's tired of hurting.... I'm just glad to finally have a solution that helps her.

I'm trying to figure out how to post a picture to this discussion. Can anyone help?

The English Mastiff, Teddy Bear, in ABITHICA is my real life English Mastiff, and yes, he really is a big, drooly thing! He didn't fit on the vet's scale, but the parts of him that did weighed 210 pounds. We're thinking his real weight is somewhere around 220 pounds.

Would love to share a picture of him!

I figured out a way for you all to see Teddy Bear. I was recently interviewed on the Blog, Housewife Blues and Chihuahua Stories, and a good portion of the interview was focused on Bear. There are also some good pictures of him.

Ugh...editing!

I hear you Vincent, but editing would mean I'm done with the writing... which I'd love to say right about now... so I'm actually looking forward to that part. Besides, I like digging in, and getting my hands dirty. The only problem is knowing when to stop!

He is so gentle! There isn't a mean bone in his body, but boy is he BIG! It's sorta like having a cow living inside our house. When strangers ask what he is, I've been known to claim he's a Cowstiff. I'm bad! I know! (I wonder if they went home and googled it....)

We thought the same thing. Bear has 5 acres to run around on, but he never seems to make it off the porch step. After a walk, he's pretty much done for the rest of the day.

Thank you to all who joined my questions and answers! Although it ended yesterday, I’m always open and available for questions here on Goodreads. Until then, have a great Summer....
