I was pulled in pretty quickly, wondering what was in the bag Charlie had and what was with the crash Lane had. And then things got interesting. For me, this is a great example of an "afternoon read" book. Things moved quickly and moving from one character to the others really kept things jumping.

Sabrina Ogden | 19 comments I can see this on the big screen, for sure. I was pulled in pretty fast and the only reason why I didn't finish it on Saturday was because I was having a hard time putting such a good book to bed. I was having too much fun for it to end. And the one scene with Lane... well, I didn't touch the book for two hours after I read that.

Ron (ronearlphillips) | 18 comments Swierczynski has a fast forward moving, no clutter, streamline style. So yes, it reads fast because you are being pulled along, wanting to find out what happens to Charlie, Lane, The Mann.

I have the same problem as Tom, though, cutting out the time to read straight, even 4 hours is a tough proposition. And once you get going with one of Duane's books, you really want to.

Elizabeth A. (elizabethawhite) | 32 comments Yep, definitely a one-sitting kind of read.

Holly West (hollywest) | 14 comments I must be a slow reader. It took me a few days to get through it. That said, it was a quick read for me--it usually takes me a week to finish a book of that length.

Scott Parker (scottdennisparker) | 4 comments I listened to the book so it took me the 7+ hours to get to it. And, since my book-listening time is short, I had to pick it up here and there. Now, unlike the last audiobook I read--where I would choose pretty much anything over having to listen to it in the car--Fun and Games was a book I looked forward to getting back to. Finished it yesterday. Really enjoyed it.
