While reading the book I always wondered how the story would play out as a movie.
I think this is one of the books that would translate very well to a screen adaptation and I'd love to see the little fuzzies fuzzying their way about.
I just noticed it because I usually don't think about stuff like this, I just take a book in as it is and don't think about alternative media translations. With Fuzzy Nation however, I would love to see a movie.
I must admit it's mostly because I love the fuzzies so much and would imagine they'd be terribly cute to watch in a movie. But I also think that the whole setting, plot and characters would translate very well.
What do you think? Would a movie be great or would it maybe spoil and exploit the fuzzy cuteness as it is described in the book?

Yeah - and before anyone gets the chance to beat me to it, here it goes:
Interesting article and yes, I guess one of the reasons why I was thinking about a Fuzzy movie was that the novel felt kind of like a movie at times, or at least it was very easy to imagine the scenes movie-like the way they were written.
I think this is one of the main differences between Fuzzy Nation and Little Fuzzy. Little Fuzzy reveals the shocking details as you go, in more of an expository style. Fuzzy Nation has them set more like reveals, the way something would unfold on film.
This was a fun and quick read. I can definitely see how Scalzi set it up in a movie like flow. (view spoiler)[ Even though I felt with some certainty that the story was going to be wrapped up with a Disney like bow, I still enjoyed the execution. Its good to break up your reading of some of the heavier drama like books with a nice pop-corn read. I gifted this book to my mother. Too bad the kindle license doesn't allow lending. (hide spoiler)]
I agree, I found myself thinking about a fuzzy movie. I'd see it. More so, I would recommend it to my friends, some of which DO NOT read books! Or at least, not science fiction . xD
