My debut novel is getting solid reviews and is a middle grade/young adult contemporary fantasy about a kid transported to a cartoon universe.

Hope you are having fun with your book collecting! :)

I have a coming of age tale told as a dark fantasy called The Fall of Ossard.
This is book 1 of a trilogy, a layered read of brooding tragedy. Ossard is not a swashbuckling action tale, but instead something deeper and more considered.
Let me know if you're interested in reading it and I'll gift you a copy through Amazon.

If you're looking for something in the thrillers part of that, I'd love your read and review of Glass House.

It's available in Kindle, as well as Smashwords formats.
Let me know, and I'll get you a copy.

If you're looking for steampunk fantasy, you may be interested in my novel, Liberator's Ruin.
It's currently available on Kindle and Smashwords. Let me know if you're interested, and I'll be happy to send you a copy for review.
Description:
In a world at war, three people will decide the fate of an entire country.
Nathaniel An’Rieyr is the captain of the airship Storm Brother and profiteer extraordinaire. He dreams of making his fortune in the lucrative southern trade routes. But to achieve that, he will need to get involved in a war he has made a career of avoiding.
As the last surviving member of the Illysian Royal Family, the war is all Anna has left. The Rhivellian Empire took her family, her throne and her country. Unable to compete against the might of the Rhivellian war machine, Anna enacts a plan to retrieve a mighty artefact from a long-forgotten time. With it, she will finally have the power to force the Empire from her land; a goal for which she will sacrifice anyone, even her closest ally.
Thomas Ras’Kar, High Inquisitor of the Rhivellian Empire, has been sent to the capital of Illys in disgrace, where he will be forced to contend with the incompetent Thane Charles. Three years of occupation has seen the people of Illum cowed and the Thane’s interest turned to his own pleasures. A fate worse than death for a man of honour and action such as Thomas. But the Princess is returning to Illum, and she may be the key to Thomas’ redemption.
Many thanks,
Phill

My book is way outside the genre discussed here, but you mentioned you were open to anything...
This is feel-good fiction based in Maui, Hawaii at a family run Tiki bar. I recommend it for hammocks, shoes off and a cool drink in hand. Reviews so far have been good, but are mostly fan-based, so your perspective would be interesting.
If you're not too busy, let me know.
Thanks for your consideration.

Hi Danie!
I, like Everett, am not sure if my genre works for you but figured I'd ask. I released a very short collection of flash fiction pieces, it's less than 20 pages long. It hops genre, style and is sometimes borderline experimental. I released it for free on smashwords hoping to introduce myself to new readers. I'm working on my debut novel and I post new flash fiction every Friday on my blog. If you're interested in a free copy, the link is below:

Thanks Danie! Good luck with the reviews!

If you like dystopoian thrillers might I suggest Against Nature by John Nelson. It's about a global pandemic; a disease without a cure. One radical scientist contends the source of the highly infectious and fatal disease is an extraterrestrial dust mite brought back to earth in the wound of a shuttle astonaut. The government contends it's a genetically engineered microbe developed here on earth by enemies of freedom.
You can check it out on Amazon, B&N or from the publishers site: www.wildchildpublishing.com

Don't know if you're all filled up, but I can send my new Sid Chance thriller, The Good, The Bad and The Murderous. It's available in Amazon's Kindle Store and will soon be out in paperback. Here's a blurb:
Medicare fraud, drug trafficking, a hired killer, a crooked cop, it's a nightmare scenario PI Sid Chance finds himself in when he takes a tough assignment—prove a young man just out of prison for a murder when he was twelve did not commit a new homicide. Everything is thrown upside down when Jaz LeMieux, the wealthy ex-cop working with him on the case, finds herself accused of a despicable crime, and the evidence is damning. When a hit man comes after Sid, all hell breaks loose.
Let me know if you're interested.

This novel was picked up for movie in June and will be released nationwide in 2013.
I'd love a review, if you have time.

I don't review the books myself but if you do, please come back to the Friday feature and post a comment -- with a LINK TO YOUR BLOG/REVIEW (yes, please come advertise yourself, FREE) -- so others who come for the books can check out your thoughts.
This week, I have a double-sized feature running 6 books instead of 3 so as to "last" the whole long holiday weekend here in the States. This week's feature is here:
http://webbiegrrl.blogspot.com/2011/09/freebie-friday-2-sep-happy-laborday-usa.html
There's a paranormal romance, a contemporary fantasy and a crime mystery by my first-ever Irish Indie Author, Ruby Barnes. Then after the fold I have 3 bonus freebies which (just by coincidence, not planning!) are all angel-themed.
One of the 3 Bonus Freebies, Starfire Angels by Melanie Nilles, has launched an SF/F series you'll find addictive once you begin. Get it free this weekend but I've warned you about "having to" buy the rest of Mel's series!

http://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/641825-freebie-friday-webbiegrrl-s-blog
So just check the group on Fridays by about 10am Eastern (USA) to get 3 new free reads each week. Some of the authors are very new and could really use the readers/reviews so it'll be a real win/win/win!

I am planning a blog book tour for October 1-22, 2011, and am wondering if you would consider reviewing my self-published mystery/crimefiction novel?

Have added reviews for most books, have to say I enjoyed having lots outside my usual genre.. .it certainly opened my eyes!
I had technical issues with a couple but should be rectified now I'm back at a computer... so if no review on GR it will be shortly! If you wish a review elsewhere then I'm happy to transfer over.
Loving the books :o)

Ta muchly, will download and looking forward to it

Turns out Melanie Nilles's Starfire Angels is FREE on Amazon and Mel's (personally) running a promo on it offering to give away a FREE KINDLE OR NOOK to some lucky reader.
As noted, she launched the series with this book a few years ago and it's been a big hit. She's had tens of thousands of sales (better than a lot of traditionally published books do!!) She wants to reach 150,000 sales by Christmas of this year. She's pretty close already. Since Amazon counts it as a "sale" even though the price is $0.00 send all your friends to buy a copy. Amazon just counts unique users/customers who log in and put things through their shopping cart.
Mel's web site (http://www.melanienilles.com/) has details of how to enter to win the FREE KINDLE OR NOOK that she'll give away if she hits that 150k mark by xmas day this year. She said if she gets to #1 in the rankings she'll do it too but she has the book listed as World Literature / Mythology and it's totally a Science Fiction book so I'm a little surprised she's already up to #20 in the "wrong" category. It's just THAT good a book ! :)
Share this around and enter to win. Plus enjoy the great book while it's FREE. The price won't stay free forever *grin*

The House in Windward Leaves is a middle grade Halloween fantasy, more humor than horror. After children are transported to the fantasy realm in their costumes, they experience their costume identities, have adventures that intertwine, and then there's a treasure hunt.
I can't seem to add the book to the post today. It's on Goodreads, The House in Windward Leaves by Katherine L. Holmes, and there's 30 percent sample of the book to read at my author profile.

The book is at Amazon and Barnes & Noble.

Here is the short blurb.
JAK037 is a warbot.
Built for the sole purpose of killing the enemies of Dalrea, he has survived longer than any other and is the last of his generation still in operation. Being the last JAK model, he is simply referred to as Jak, no unit number necessary. When word comes of a treaty with their nemesis, Carthia, Jak holds out hope his final days will be ones without war. It is with disappointment he learns the treaty is so a new front can be opened against a race of settlers from another world.
Humans.
In the coming conflict, can Jak and his comrades of aged warbots survive against an enemy with superior technology? In a mission to wipe out the settlers, will it succeed? Or will Jak’s days finally be numbered. With the aid of a human child, a seven-year-old girl named Hannah, Jak hopes to end the war and save his people from what he believes is a looming disaster. It’s a race where not only humans but Carthians, Dalreans, robotic laws, and his own failing body all conspire to stop him.

The Mind's Canvas

A vanishing blemish or the loss or wrinkles seems like anyone's dream, but in the reality of To Be With You Again, it's the mark of something tragic. Follow the members of a community as they form relationships, navigate tough decisions, and attempt to say goodbye before it's too late. Each chapter shifts from different narratives that inter-connect and come together in a devastating and life-affirming conclusion.
Perfect for book clubs, binge reading, or savoring by the chapter, To Be With You Again approaches situations and characters with humanity, honesty, curiosity, and empathy. This may even be a book you need to read twice to uncover all the mysteries within!

If the book below sounds like something you might be interested in, I'd love for you to leave a review and let me know what you think! It's been my passion project for the last 6 years.

Are you willing to look at a guided journal?
I absolutely love journaling, (I blog about it, but this isn't a plug for that) and I created my first guided journal.
The intro is short, has examples, goes directly into repeating journal prompts-- altogether 100 pages.
It's tool to help reframe negative thinking, and I go directly into the brass tacks of what has helped me personally, but no extra fluff or sales pitch like some self-help books.
This is my first published work, and I welcome ALL feedback. Anyone who wants a free ebook copy can have it. This ends Feb 21st, FYI.
