I lent a book for the first time recently. Once I downloaded the book after the lending period, it does not offer me the chance to lend it again. I don't recall reading anywhere about the LendMe rules that you can only lend out a book once and that's it. Does anyone else know about the restrictions on lending? I was trying to look for it on BN.com, but haven't found anything.

~Jennifer~ (book_addiction) You can only lend a book one time for a 14 day period. Those are limited to books given permission to lend by the publisher. =/ Very limited...hopefully they get something figured out soon. It kinda stinks.

That is incredibly disappointing.

David Trim yeah i was kinda upset about that myself but with the nook friends app you can determine who you want to lend the book to if there are more than one person requesting it.

Neil (rucknrun) There is a site called http://ebookfling.com/ that sort of handles all the ebook lending for you. You can request books and get credits for lending them out. I have lent several of my books out so far. I have not borrowed any. It seems like a great service.

David Trim yeah but after you lend it once can you lend it a second time. Because that is where our issue is coming in.

Neil (rucknrun) Yes. That is a ridiculous restriction. It should be minimum 5 times. I can't read a book in 2 weeks most of the time.

If a book is archived in my library...that wont prevent anyone from borrowing it, right? Or should all my lendable books be unarchived?

David Trim the only thing that stops people from borrowing books is you. You have to approve a book to be borrowed.
