Camy Tang/Camille Elliot discussion
What are you reading this week (July 25)?

oh, and while I set That is SO Me: 365 Days of Devotions: Flip-Flops, Faith, and Friends aside for a time, I picked up Contentment: A Godly Woman's Adornment to study alongside my daily dose of The One Year Daily Insights with Zig Ziglar
oh, and ALMOST(ish) done with Silent Tears: A Journey Of Hope In A Chinese Orphanage (come to find out the author is helping a friend of mine put together HER book/story/experience of adopting from China!)
yeah, so I think that's it. HA!

girl, even without a kindle... start nabbing up those freebies, they are yours forever... even if you never get a kindle, in this day & age you can read from your computer, phone, ipod, and whatnot!

gah, girl... don't do this to me... that's one (of the recent freebies) that stood out to me, with your stamp on it, I'll have to move it UP the ranks TBR!

I just finished the 3rd book of Carla Capshaw's gladiator books. I enjoyed them as well.
Now I'm reading Debra Clopton's Her Cowboy Rodeo

What Amancay said--you can read them on your computer or just save the file and when/if you do get a Kindle, it'll be downloaded automatically!

I'm so non-tech. (Look how long it took me to get here.) Okay. I'll look into it. Thanks for the advice ladies.

Patricia, I'm reading Wolfsbane by Ronie Kendig too! It's awesome! Ronie is on Seekerville today talking about how she named all the Metcalfe siblings. Too fun!
Pam Hillman (I see I have no pic and need to edit my ID. Oh well, I'll fix it soon!)

It was so much more then just a romance.
Looking forward to more of your writing to come.

You're not the only one! Lots of people online have been hoping Ronie will write the other book or two in the series, but it's not under contract at the moment, so we'll just have to wait. :(

Don't worry, it's not hard. :) Lots of us here on Goodreads can help you out, too.

Sandra, I download freebies to Kindle and to Nook. Bit of a pain to do it twice, I guess, but once I make up my mind which I'm going to get, I'll have most of my books either way. Only problem is Nook tends to have fewer freebies and they have them for shorter periods of time, so have to catch them right away.

If I get one, it will probably be a Kindle rather than a Nook, although I've heard good things about both. I've been on the fence on this Kindle thing for quite a while. My SIL has one and loves it. But when I get pdf's I'm supposed to read to influence, I find I don't care for reading them on the computer, so I'm not sure how much difference there is.
I'm on the list at the library to check out a Kindle to see how it works and if I like it. I'll make up my mind then. Amazon seems to have a good deal on the 3G Wi-Fi w/special additions (read ads) right now. I don't think I'd mind a few ads on my screensaver--I'm all about the deals. :-) Has anyone seen one of these? Are they too yuck?

Amazon said just yesterday that the Kindle with ads is now their bestselling model. Apparently a lot of folks don't mind.
Hadn't thought about trying out a device from my library. Don't even know if they have any. Have to check that out.

Kindle with ads: For a difference of $50, plus you're supposed to get word through the ads of special deals, I can see why it would sell well as long as the ads are only on the screensaver. They're not supposed to pop up while you're reading.
My library has twenty Kindles and I was still 80-something on the list. That was two months ago. I am anxious to check it out though.

Actually, I was downloading them both for a while, too, before I got my Nook.

That's a great idea! I haven't heard about Kindles being available for loan from the library before.

I also have the old Nook, but I got the new one because I used my old one so much, I got a crack in the front frame right over the forward page button!

I hope you get to check one out soon! I went with a friend to Barnes and Noble yesterday and she played with both the new Black and White Nook and the Color Nook. Both are really nice.

I have two Kindles on my Amazon Kindle account, one for me and one for my friend in the nursing home. So everything I buy or download can be sent to both Kindles. I don't know if 2 is the limit or if you can have more, but it's so worth it to have a ton of books that we can both share.

Camy, you'd make a good pickpocket! ha ha

That's cool, Pam. Kind of your own little book club.

I agree with Sandra, Pam, that's a really brilliant idea. I didn't know you could do that.

Can you change the settings on the Kindle? I know you can change the settings on the Nook. Mine has the page numbers showing.

Dont tell anyone I read today instead of studied will you.

Yes she is. I enjoy her books.

Sorry to hear that Amancay! :(
