Passion (Fallen, #3) by Lauren Kate
I liked the whole back and forth between Daniel and Luce. It was nice to see Daniel's perspective. What do you think about Bill? I don't know exactly where you are in the book.

I feel like it took me a while to get into the book. I was really excited to read it because I didn't like book 2 as much as 1. It was easier to get used to the back and forth part after the first few chapters. I'd also like to know what you think about Bill if you've got to him yet. I knew what he was about from the start.

I had an idea of what he was, but I don't want to give anything anyway if Haven hasn't gotten there yet.

Kimi (kimisokool) I feel you Crystal. =)

Maija (the_maija) | 1 comments Didn`t like it that much....could have been better written...and Luce IS really stupid....I could almost at the beginning guess that that stupid gnome is the Lucifer....it was really clear!
And, I totally agree with Haven, I was totally confused about that time jumping, too!

I thought the whole time jumping thing gave the book more depth. We found out so much about why the angels are the way they are. For intense, how Arriane and Annabelle are so close, and why Cam and Daniel seem to hate each other so much.

And about the whole Bill thing, I thought it was totally obvious at the beginning that that guy Sophia was so afraid of was Lucifer. Because of that I guessed that Bill was Lucifer, but then I thought if this is the devil, why would he make his appearance so unappealing? I never got that. So then I just thought he was Lucifer's most trusted servant, but I definitely thought he was evil.

Kimi (kimisokool) Honestly, who can be worse than the devil? When the figure came up behind the outcasts, I was thinking, "I know this is Lucifer if the outcasts are that afraid." So then when some random thing starts speaking to Luce in the announcer and then when he did that whole thing where he changed to look like Daniel, I thought, "Something is wrong. Why would he do that? Why is he saying he's helping? And how did he really get into her announcer?" Nothing fit. He never even tried to explain how to shut the door. So I knew it had to be Lucifer.

This is from my review of the book. It's something that really bugged me about Fallen and Passion.

You know how in this book, the Lucinda from Helston, England died in July? In the beginning of Fallen, it says she died in September. What is that about? Also, from the the beginning of the series, it was said that this is where it all began. I'm thinking it has something to do with the fourth book, like maybe that's where the angels fell. Maybe.

I finished the book!!!!-finally- and i can't wait for the next one. i liked the book, yet at the same time i just wanted to flush it down the drain! Luce was such a idiot sometimes but i loved the fact that we got to see hidden depths of her character.

Jurga | 37 comments Honestly, I have a difficulty to finish the Passion, it just so gets me, all those lifes and loves and deaths, over and over again.... boring :/ This third book ruined it for me :/

Don't give up on the series! :) i heard the fourth one is going to be great!

Annie I really did like this one. I felt like finally she is explaining some things. Can't wait to read the last one. Yes it was easy to figure out that bill was evil. But from the beginning I always felt Daniel and Luce's relationship affected more than the handful of fallen angels at swords and cross. You kind of have to look at the bigger picture and I'm sure in the next and final book everything will be tied together, or at least I hope so.

I actually thought that this was the best one in the series so far. I liked how she went back in the past and we got to see all of her past lives.

I havnt read this one... is it really that good? The last one left you on a big cliff hanger so i do want to read it. But arnt all their past lives the same? they meet go to first base and she dies??

Kate uses her past lives to answer a lot of the unanswered questions people have about the series.

Crystal (crystalways) | 305 comments Mod
I just realized why in the first book Kate calls the snobby English Lucinda the beginning. In that chapter in this book, that's where Luce first meets 'Bill'. Then Bill starts to kind of change history.

Sporty No1 | 21 comments omg i didnt know that bill changed her pastd,i didnt realise that the dates were diff, thanks for that, i prefered this book to the others

I had a idea when he formed into Daniel. He just gave me the creeps and then the way he was hiding from the others just seemed wrong :) and the ending was a OMG moment. But not as big as a cliffhanger as the last one!

more or less yeah, that's why it felt a bit borring for me.

Haven, oh I never give up ;) I finished it, and will buy the forth book.

thats good to hear :) even though i didn't like this book i well faithfully get the next one!

Crystal (crystalways) | 305 comments Mod
I'm definitely going to buy the fourth. I have to see how this all raps up.

Mandy (ladyguinevere) I thought this was the best book in the series so far. Lauren gets better at her writing everytime. I loved seeing Luce's past lives and living in the past. It was like reading samples of all kinds of great books in different eras and settings.

I thought Bill was off too, I didn't trust him either. But there always has to be one of those 'persons' in a book/movie that we, the reader or viewer, already sense of they're no good way before the character awakens.

I for one cannot wait for the sequel, it's gonna be good, I just *know* it!

I know. At this point, you just have to see what happens next. I think it's going to be good.

Sporty No1 | 21 comments @mandy icnt either. the ending was intense, with a ticking clock, :):)

Love_books | 23 comments first book was okayy (cam was the only character keeping me from throwing it in my trash can (kinda)) the second book was a tinsy bit better so i thought why not give passion a try sorry to all the fans but it totally ruined my happy mood i was brooding over the fact for a week that i wasted my money on it

I personally think Kate did much better in this book because I finally got some of my questions answered (plus Daniel didn't come across quite as douchey in this one). Although you're not the only I've seen who's had this opinion. Can you just tell me what you thought was so bad about?

Love_books | 23 comments Crystal wrote: "Love_books wrote: "first book was okayy (cam was the only character keeping me from throwing it in my trash can (kinda)) the second book was a tinsy bit better so i thought why not give passion a t..."

yeah i know daniel wasnt completely hopeless in this book in fact at times i actually felt bad for him but luce in other hand kate totally ruined her character i swear to god at some point i wanted to shake some sense into her i mean come on there should be some limitations of stupidity but she crossed it i think (only an opinion peepz)she was really selfish i mean ya i get it that u want some answers but the choices she made? they were really immature

Jurga | 37 comments Crystal, whta I didn't like in Passion was the hole journey back... I felt like I was reading the same chapter again and again with the knowing how it'll end. And Luce? Yeah, like Love-books I kinda didn't get some of her choices.

Morgan (blackrose388) Ok so I just finished Passion and I have to ask did anyone find the end to passion completely disappointing? I mean I was reading the book and the supspense kept building up about the whole secret behind Daniel and Luce's curse and then when what really happened was revealed I was just completely like really, that's all?

message 32: by Tara (new) - rated it 4 stars

Tara (taterbeans) this book was a hug disappointment for me. i had high expectations for this and it didnt meet them. i didnt mind jumping around and i liked the history behind it. i was hoping to learn more about the others and not just was luce watch herself. kinda boring. i think there should have been more from the others who were chasing her. this had a good idea, but just failed in execution. like a loser on project runway. i knew something was off with bill and it was very obvious and this book just made luce so stupid! my god! and im still waiting for her to hook up with cam or figure out their past because you know they have something together!!!!! the last book better be amazing and make up for this one.

Zayna | 41 comments Absolutely loved it!! although certain parts of it were really confusing and I'm just curious as to whether Cam is good or bad?? He goes on and off and it really bugs me...

I feel like Cam is just poorly misunderstood by other characters.

ruthy (ruthyy) | 1 comments I honestly thought it was the best of the series so far. I loved how far back in time it went and the way it was a history lesson and an entertaining book all in one. I read the whole book when I was on holidays in QLD in about a week because I got so engrossed. I recommend the series to anyone who's willing to listen to my stupid book ramblings. I love it!

Dayna (thenerdygirls) | 4 comments The book was really good, but it wasn't my favourite from the series.:/

message 39: by Amber (new)

Amber | 2 comments I thought it was a really great book, one of my favorite so far. I just like how deep it goes into the stories of their past and really gave me a new insight of the entire series. Can't wait for Rapture!!

Jennifer (jennlovee) | 3 comments Not my favorite. I had a really hard time getting through it. I'm hoping the next/last book it better.

Minouschka (minous) | 7 comments this book didn't work for me. I hope rapture will be better.

Morgan (blackrose388) I really didn't like this one in the series. It seemed boring and repetitive.

adulate_ | 2 comments Well at first i thought it was actually quite interesting the first half of the book but then it just began getting tedious for me the way she was going back into the past and just about to find out what it meant to be with Daniel. What fustrates me is that I feel she doesn't trust Daniel one bit. If she loved him truly she wouldn't have bothered to go back in the past! She just doesn't realise what she's missing to be honest with you! By the end I was honestly frustrated and I just hope Rapture won't be as disappointing and tedious as Passion.
