I just finished this, so here are my responses:
1. What do you think of our hero, Drake? Can you get past/embrace his shady profession to love/like him as a hero?
--I loved Drake. He was definitely a dangerous man, but he clearly adored Grace and she brought out the softness in him. My favorite kind of hero. His past didn't bother me at all. I think he tried to be a decent, honorable person. I don't particularly like the concept of arms dealing, but at least he wasn't a drug dealer or sex trafficker. I couldn't get past those kinds of professions as easily.
2. Is Grace Larsen a heroine that you enjoyed/liked, able to handle a dangerous man like Drake?
--Grace was a very sweet, loving, deep woman. I really liked her. She's perfect for Drake. She takes care of him as he takes care of her.
3. Did you like the storyline/plot of this story?
--I'm a sucker for the tough hero who pines for the heroine. I was glad that she didn't hold how her association with him destroyed her life as it was against Drake.
4. Was there enough action/suspense for you?
--I enjoyed the action/suspense elements. But I also liked the intimate focus on Drake and Grace's relationship. Since they had known each other for such a short time, I think that was important.
5. Too steamy, steamy enough, could use more steam?
--Nicely steamy. Not too kinky or gross for me.
6. Dangerous Hero Rating out of 10: 10/10
7. Hero hotness rating out of 10: 10/10
8. Overall book rating out of 10 or 1-5 stars? 5 stars
9. Can you recommend some other books like this one? Kind of reminds me of some of Christine Feehan and Anne Stuart's heroes, although AS's heroes are as demonstrative.
10. Any thoughts you want to add?
I'm glad I finally got to read this!
