After a bad relationship and an even worse divorce, Carolyn decides to go on a long overdue and much needed vacation with the 'girls'. Only the rest of the vacationers didn't get the memo. Around every corner there seems to be another couple celebrating their honeymoon or anniversary and the few single men she does see are far too young to even consider, including an irresistibly attractive rock violinist she meets. It's really too bad he's so young but in the end it doesn't matter because according to his cousin, Giacinta, women in general aren't Christian's type.

But there's a catch, Christian needs Carolyn's help. He needs her to be his beard (to play the part of his fake girlfriend) for the week to appease his 'machismo' family. Carolyn just can't seem to say No and decides to help Gia's cousin. The only problem is that being around Christian and acting like they are a loving couple is wreaking havoc on her emotions. Carolyn's thoughts keep drifting back to places they shouldn't, like kissing his full lips or feeling his broad shoulders under her fingertips... good lord, she's in trouble.

Hey Rossy, I joined this group so I could comment on this thread. I love Ms. Sands. I am so excited she is finally writing a book on Christian. It has been forever since she went back to the vamps we know and love. We do not know a lot about Christian but we know he is a stepson of the head lady Argeneau. The covers are getting better. She has no other choice but to get with the trend. Hopefully this next book will keep me entertained.

LOL! Welcome to the group Pansy, glad we could entice you!

Christian is not her step-son though, but her biological son with his father. Remember it was all revealed in Vampire, Interrupted? That's my favorite book....makes me want to do a re-read!LOL

I agree that it has been long since we had a story about someone in the Marguerite's immediate family. I have been dying for his book since he first appeared!

OMG! That's right! totally slipped my mind. It has been so long since I have read the book. It is one of my favorite Argeneau books also. My favorite book is Lucerne. I love when she writes about immediate family. There are still a few left without books.

I know what you mean, i can barely recall a few details anymore from the other books, or i sort of lump them together. The only reason i remember that one vividly, is because i did another re-read just last year.

The stories about her sons, with the exception of Bastien's are some of the most enjoyable in the series. So i'm hoping we get the same kind of humor all throughout this one, as she did on those.

Marguerite & Julian's son. The books Christian is in, he's fairly funny. When he teases his father about talking to Marguerite out loud is funny.

Lucern's book was so funny. When his cod piece got stuck on the table cloth and all the ladies where under the table trying to get it unstuck, when Kate helped him break into a blood bank, when Kate thought he was gay because she found him leaning over her male assistant, when he had a authentic costume for the ball. That book made me laugh so much. When he goes with Bastien to the airport to pick up Kate's cousin and he holds a piece of paper up saying, Kate's cousin & best friend and maid of honor, because he forgot her name was a great scene.

Missyb | 16 comments Snooze alert. As much as I looked forward to Christian's book, it was boring. I liked the banter between Julius & Christian, and the other family members in it, but there was no action or mystery or twist. It felt forced, and more as though it should have been a short story instead of a full book. It was cute, but that's it. Not even as funny as many of the books are.

so many of the others did the same for me, this one not as much, & I was so looking forward to Christian's story.

Robin Higgins (arsinoe) | 4 comments Just finishing Under a Vampire Moon. Help. Which book talks about Marguerite and Julian getting together? I thought I'd read those, but either it's been too long or I've missed it. I like the family aspect in the book, but I miss the rest of the family.
