Getting Started
♦Create your own challenge from the below categories and topics! To do that follow these steps....
Choose the number of books you want to read for the month, starting as low as 1 book for the month up to however many you can fit in. Read through the below categories and topics and find the ones that you want to use to create your challenge. Based on the topics you chose, select your books that will fit with each choice. You can select some from each category or all of your selections can be from one category, it does not matter, it is your challenge! (These can be added later)Some Basic Rules
You may change or add to your list at anytime. You may also change the level of difficulty at anytime. Books may be re-reads but you can only read them during the Month of September. Please post the cover of the book if your category choice has something to do with the cover. Only books read in September can be counted for this challenge. You may use books from other challenges (so if you are doing Hero, Susanomics, etc... you can use any of the books you are using for those challenges)Please Remember To...
When you finish a book please strike it out, or add a check mark, Post the date that you finished it, and rate it 1-5, 1♥ being you didn’t care for it, 5 ♥’s being you Loved IT! Update Original List, and add occasional updates in the challenge thread. In your original list and updates make sure to add books completed example: 4/10 Completed

Pick books that start with any of the letters in WE
SUSAN MALLERY but to add a little twist they have to fit in one of these three topics that deal with our Group Read for September
Only Yours
(you can use each topic for as many letters as you want or use the same topic over and over, and you can choose 1 letter, a few, or all of them!) The is a freebie and can be used to read an author you Love Genre: Contemporary Romance -Choose a book from the Contemporary Romance genre.Theme: Fool’s Gold and Puppies - Choose a book that the main characters live in/grew up in/moving to a small town. OR Choose a book that canines (dogs, wolves, coyotes, etc.. these can be shifters) are a big part of the story line, or main character has a dog that is mentioned in the book often.Subject: Scars/Growth- Choose a book that the main character deals with emotional and physical scars. OR Choose a book that the character struggles with self-doubt, or self-confidence or struggles figuring out their career path.Examples:
S- Genre: *Someone Like You by Susan Mallery (contemporary romance)
M-Theme:*Must Love Lycan’s by Michele Bardsley(deals with werewolves and small towns!)

Choose from several September is National ____ Month & silly days/weeks in September.
Choose a book that fits with one of the topics dealing with National Month categories and topics associated with September (Get Creative!!)
Passion Fruit and Peach Month~Literacy AwarenessFootballFirst day of FallNational Hispanic Heritage Month Yoga AwarenessNational Beheading Day~Pick a book where a character lost their head (literally or figuratively) over a man/woman/job/situation/divorce/child/etc..
Swap Ideas Day~ Have a friend pick a book for you!
Fight Procrastination Day~Choose a book that has been on your TBR list for more than 6 months!
National Date Nut Bread Day- read a book where character goes on a date(s) with a nut (crazy person!) *Denise gets back in the dating saddle in Only Yours and she def. dates some nuts!
International People Skill Month- Read a book that the main character is socially akward (like Simon in Only Yours!) OR Main character has mad people skills and is very charming!
Location, Location, Location!
Where do the characters in your books make love? Find a book that has a love scene with the "location" topic you choose♥ As long as there is a love scene, even off camera (if it is implied) it can be used.
Airplane or helicopter (better be a big one!). At work. Out in the open, such as during a picnic, in a park, or at a camping site, sportsetc...
In a Stairwell An Alley, In a Car in a dark streetIn a body of water: ocean, lake, bathtub, swimming pool, Jacuzzi In a Pile of Leaves (as long as leaves are mentioned, like the were caught in her hair..ect) At a Friends/Neighbor's/Stranger's house (as long as it's not the main couple's abode!) Kitchen Table, Coffee Table, Pool Table...any kind of Table! You Wouldn't Beleive! If the book has an outrageous place the couple got busy, you can use it and list it! (It needs to be out of the norm)
Remember, you can choose a little from here and a little from there, or just do 1 category! Have Fun Building Your Challenge!

I tried sticking with books I have in other challenges. I'll be moving sometime between now and by the end of September and I'm job hunting still, so I'm not sure how much I'll be able to read. 6 should be a good starting place for now! :)

I'm really looking forward to reading the series!! :) It's gonna be hard to finish reading everything else and not reading the rest of the books right after, lol.
*sigh* I am just not creative enough to come up with some of these lists. :/
I use Listopia on here and my TBR list and if I can't find anything that way I'll snatch something from someone else's list that looks good.
I'm in, I just have to create a list. I'm going to set my goal at 5 books though.

Look up top and look under the Explore heading. It should be the first one in the list.

Hannah, listopia is a tool to use! If you feel overwhelmed getting your list going, just pick one or two books you KNOW you want to read next month. Then go through the categories and see where it fits! Then as the month goes on and you read something, see if it fits into your challenge. As you do it, it will get easier! And if you want help getting started post a couple of books that your thinking about reading in September, and Jen and I (and I'm sure the other ladies too) can help you figure out some categories☺

Hmm. I don't think I want to say anything specific cos I want to be surprised!! haha. Plus you always give me good ideas! :) Do we want to just come up with a couple choices for each person, like you said it's traditionally done? Is there anything you want me to stick with? Should we PM each other, make it easier? haha
Here are my recommendations for you Shell! :)1st - From My Favorites Shelf: Petty Magic: Being the Memoirs and Confessions of Miss Evelyn Harbinger, Temptress and Troublemaker by Camille DeAngelis
I love this book, it's hilarious and well written and something completely new, if you don't read it this time, please do another time! :) I have to put up a review for it soon.
2nd - From Your TBR List: Soulless by Gail Carriger
I love this series. I (personally) had a little trouble with the first one, but you know how first books are, but I absolutely loved the ones after and I'm probably going to go back and read the first one again, since it's been awhile. Definitely a series to read!! Wrote a review for this one.
3rd - Book From My Previous Challenges: Poison Study by Maria V. Snyder
Really fun books! I've only read the first one (this one) in the series so far, but I couldn't put it down! I wrote a review about it, so you can check that out :)
Wow!! this isn't easy deciding on books!! I've got 5 so far, but will be reading others as well, that don't fit into the categories, so I think that will do me. I have so many books to read, and just keep adding more to my pile, the more challenges I do!SO. here are what I have chosen so far

1st - From My Favorites Shelf:The Warlord Wants ForeverorA Hunger Like No Other (Immortals After Dark)by Kresley Cole.
•I chose both because the first is a novella, and a lot of people start with Hunger Like No Other. This is by far one of my favorite series, and I think you would love it! The Hero's in this book are to die for, and the women are just as entertaining☺ (this is one of those series that the first book, HLNO, is not the best in the series, but you have to start somewhere!
2nd - From Your TBR List:The Darkest Night (#1Lords of the Under World)by Gena Showalter
•I know you have been thinking of reading Gena Showalter for a while now, so I picked her most popular series. Her Alien Huntress series is just as good IMO, but this one seems to be just a bit more well liked.
3rd - Book From My Previous Challenges:Bossypants by Tina Fey
•I suggest you listen to the audio on this if it's possible, but I bet the book would be just as good! This book is one of the funniest books ever☺ I recommend everyone read/listen to this book at sometime. I had added for a challenge to make myself read it, and I was so glad I did!

I think I'm going to go with The Darkest Night :) I'm planning on reading Kresley Cole's for my WLSM Hero Challenge, so I'll get to those asap. I'm glad you loved Tina Fey's book! I can't wait to read it! I'll probably listen to it instead, she's hilarious.

♥Jennifer and I have been working on a new Monthly Challenge (you can thank Jen for a lot of this!) and I think your going to like it! The best part is, you get to build your own challenge!!! So if you only want to read one book for the month, that's fine, and if you want to read a book for every day in September that's fine too! Also you get to choose what Categories you want to use. You can pick what you want from where you want☺ I will post the Rules and Catergories very soon so you can start your list!
