Lisa James (sthwnd) LOL. Naked Lunch is written from the POV of a junkie, & it's pretty graphic when he's describing what he sees when he's tripping, so it's a little hard to get through. You can literally only read so much at a time before you HAVE to put it down & read something else for a while. Some of the "scenes" are very sexual in nature, so you CANNOT leave it where curious kids could pick it up & randomly flip through to see what you are reading.

Just started Confederacy, it's pretty cute so far, but you should be sure not to skip the Preface/Foreward, as it sets the scene for how the book came to be published.

Genesis Secret is a religious thriller, similar to DaVinci Code, they are in search of The Garden of Eden. Very interesting book, lots of myths, lore, mystery, murders, etc.

Have not yet cracked the other 3...

Lisa James (sthwnd) How many are you up to Sonya?

Lisa James (sthwnd) A Confederacy of Dunces was funny in spite of itself. The characters were for the most part, unlikable, & the train wreck of events that happens, with all the twists & turns, is fascinating to read, just like a train wreck is impossible to look away from. That said, I'm sad the author didn't live to write a follow up to this book. I would have read it to see what happens to Ignatius & Myrna.

Lisa James (sthwnd) Just put down The House of the Spirits. I loved it :) Getting ready to pick up a book that isn't yet on my currently reading list, which is Breakfast At Tiffany's. I figure since I registered one of my pedigreed queens with this name, I better read the book I named her after!

Lisa James (sthwnd) Breakfast At Tiffany's complete! Version I read had this plus 3 short stories, all of which were also good!

Lisa James (sthwnd) Realized 3/4 of the way through Song of Solomon that it seemed strangely familiar. Turns out I actually read this book 2 years ago. I am a dummy, LOL. Anyway, it's a great book :)
