A great ending to this series. I definitely think the last 4 books in this series were the best of all. I love Massie!

Twilight-ish. But liked it :D You can call it a guilty pleasure.

The Anthologist by Nicholson Baker
Rating: 3/5
I picked the book randomly from the shelf at the library. Given the fact that I don't have any poetry background, it was pretty interesting to me. However I felt lost in the middle of it but the humor always got me back.
I think it deserves more than 3 rating!
Favorite line: Poetry is written sometimes, I think, in a whisper. Not a stage whisper but a real human whisper.

This novel is light, almost too light. I would not recommend it at all if you're used to eroticism in books serving a high purpose. It seemed like a peculiar, less direct, cheap erotic novel. If there's anything good about this book, it's the way Llosa describes things (not necessarily what he chooses to describe.) If you want good literature with philosophized eroticism, read something by Kundera and skip this one.
P.S. I've been meaning to read Llosa's work for a long time, especially 'The Feast of the Goat'. However, that novel is a bit long (and I'm 5 books behind in the challenge!) and so I decided to read something shorter just to check out his general writing style. I'm still reading 'The Feast of the Goat' because I believe (I HOPE!) it wouldn't be as puerile as this one.

When it comes to Paranormal/Supernatural fiction, I mostly associate it with cliches and there’s always characters who are hard to relate to or feel because of the over-dramatic soap-opera kind of stories.
I know I’m generalizing this idea and I can’t say that Vampire Academy is everything I wanted from a paranormal fiction but it is the first book that I can use the word “satisfying” with. And story-wise, it has everything thrilling and bone-chilling even with simple words. The twists might not all be unexpected but it certainly lives up to its genre. I also loved the characters especially Rose, which is very rare for me when it comes to this type of book.
I loved it. pure and simple.

Swim for Life
Greg Whyte
3/5
I liked it as an all around intro to swimming. It covers various aspects and I learned a few things from it. I feel that video is a better way to learn the strokes, but it's still important to have it broken into steps as the book does.

I forgot I hadn't reviewed this book! Mad fun. I found the whole thing delightfully hilarious, and the author managed to pull of a great seriously humurous introduction. I am definitely going to hunt for a physical copy, it would be a great addition to my library.
