I really liked your article Editio. And I agree with you 100% about authors supporting other authors. Without a doubt, I have found that most authors here on goodreads are the most kind, supportive and helpful bunch that I have ever had the fortune to come across.

With that being said, one marketing tip that has proven helpful for me is to distribute business cards with my book cover on it.
I posted my cover on the front, along with my name. On the back is a small summary with my website and where they can purchase the book.
I know that you can have business cards printed very cheap nowadays. But, I printed mine on my own using Avery business cards and I think they look very professional.
I slip in a card when I pay my bills, credit cards, electric, etc. When we go to a restaurant I leave it with the tip. My husband is a pilot who gets around the country, and he is gracious enough to leave his cards in the hotel, or airport, or restaurants.

Wow thanks you for a great response. I am glad you liked the article. One of our writers is currently working on an article about what works as far as marketing. I love hearing what works for you. I have never heard anyone do that before. Very interesting. What will you do if you write a second book?

I'm in the middle of my second book now and I imagine I will promote it the same way, except start a little earlier. And hopefully, I'll learn many more ways to promote from your site!

I hope you do, feel free to advertise your book on our form on our web site http://editioselfpublishing.com/forums/. It might be another nice way of advertising the book you already do have. Everyone loves free advertising!
