This is it! This is the folder where you can shamelessly self-promote. Thank you for following the rules and not doing it in the other folders.
If you are looking for another great place to self-promote, check out our forum on our web site. We get a lot of traffic there, and who would not like another place to self-promote!

Jude, you can also promote your books in the forum on our web site. The web site gets a lot of traffic so it might be another great place for free promotion.

Clare K. R. (clare-dragonfly) I'll follow you BookieWormie! I'm clarekrmiller on Twitter.

My advice is to treat other Twitterers like people, not marketing targets. (Not that I think you'd necessarily do that, but I see it a lot.) Automatically sending direct messages (DMs) to people who follow you makes a lot of people angry. Feel free to follow lots of people, but don't get upset if they don't follow you back. Don't just tweet advertising your books, but talk to your followers and about yourself. I think you're definitely on the right track already--your bio is funny and your first tweet is about yourself!

message 6: by Mhairi (new)

Mhairi Simpson (mhairisimpson) | 83 comments Try following the #MyWANA and #pubwrite hashtags - you'll find POTS of writers and generally lovely people. Download TweetDeck or Hootsuite, if you can, and set up columns for those hashtags so that every tweet with one of those tags will show up, even for people you're not following. Then you can just jump into conversations, say hello randomly, ask and answer questions and generally start interacting with people.

I'll go and follow you now :D

Jude Arnold (drjudearnold) | 13 comments Hi BookieWormie! I am following you now on twitter! Here's mine - http://twitter.com/#!/revdrjude
As far as I know, I have not made one penny off promoting myself thru tweets! I mostly use it for sharing stuff I find interesting and then my tweets are on the feed for some other sites like linked in, for example. Good luck with your book! It certainly has a cute cover! Put a link to it in the proper folder here and I'll add it to my to read list!

Gives you some insight into why he is the way he is. Also as a bonus, I've included the first few pages of Wizard AND ... "Josh" is free!! Enjoy with my blessings. Available soon on SW, Amazon, B&N and as a paperback (I hope!) and on my blog as a download.

D.L. Morrese (dl_morrese) | 63 comments I was having a hard time finding books I really liked, science fiction/fantasy novels that are actually enjoyable to read and make me smile and sometimes even think. Terry Pratchett and a few others could not write fast enough to satisfy my need for these. So I decided to try writing some. I now have two, both available at ridiculously low prices as ebooks. The link below tells more about them. I invite you to sample them and let me know what you think.

Shaun (shaunjeffrey) | 4 comments Did someone mention promotion ;)

My name's Shaun and I've had four novels published. Having grown up in a house in a cemetery, you can probably guess that I don't write romance novels.

One of my books, a serial killer novel called The Kult was optioned for film. Shooting has now finished and I'm just waiting to hear release details. The next book in the series, Killers will be out next month.

My other books are:
Deadfall
Evilution
Dead Man's Eye

I have recently dropped the price of them all to 99 cents on Kindle and at Smashwords.

Welcome Saun- we look forward to all you have to say about publishing. Are you self-published or traditional? If your interested I would love for you to start a thread in the "general" category and talk about what it has been like having one of your books turned into a movie. I know I would love to hear about it and I am sure our other members would to.

I have been traditionally published with all my novels so far, but sadly the publisher of The Kult and Deadfall went bankrupt, so I re-released them myself. In that respect I guess I am now self-published (or indie published which seems to be the new phrase for it). I had sold the next Prosper Snow novel, which is the next in the series for The Kult, but I recently decided to withdraw it and publish it myself instead. I'll check out the general category and see what I can post. And thank you for the welcome :)

The "elevator pitch": Can interspecies diplomacy begin in the womb?...

I have the book out with several reviewers and am hoping to have a few more reviews in hand before I go "live" on Kindle Direct Publishing and PubIt!.
