Well, I have created a reading challenge, and I hope that everyone will enjoy it...

Rules:
1 You must do this in order.
2 You can only read each book once.
3 You can take as long as you need to.
4 The books must be read in that month.
5 You can't add a book that you read 3 months ago!

Month#1 Read 3 books that have a single word title.

Month#2 Read 3 romance novels

Month#3 Read all 3 books of a trilogy

Month#4 Read three books with an action in the title

Month#5 Read 3 Mystery novels

Month#6 Read 3 books that have been turned into a movie

Month#7 Read 3 books with a color in the title

Month#8 Read 3 books that have been published the year you were born

Month#9 Read 3 books with a number in the title

Month#10 Read 3 books with a name in the title

Month#11 Read 3 short stories

Month#12 Read 3 books where the title starts with the.

I have based it on a year....but if you want it to be longer then a year that is fine too....You do not have to do this each month it is at your leisure....

Happy Reading!!!

Month 1 for me will be September!!!

message 3: by Breanna (new)

Breanna McDowell (bre_mcdowell89) | 10 comments I'll have to start on this in October. There's no way I can finish the book I'm currently reading in one night. lol.

message 4: by [deleted user] (new)

lol..thanks for joining in!!!

message 5: by Breanna (new)

Breanna McDowell (bre_mcdowell89) | 10 comments Of course!! Seems fun!

message 6: by Martha (new)

Martha (marthas48) I'll start in October as well. If a title says "Fragile: A Novel", is that considered a one word title or three?

message 7: by [deleted user] (new)

I would say one...cause I think 'a novel' just means its a book....lol

message 8: by Martha (new)

Martha (marthas48) That's what I thought. I find it a bit annoying ... I think I can figure out it's a novel ... as opposed to a PB&J sandwich. Silly!

message 9: by [deleted user] (new)

hehehe....I know...It just seems so stupid to me that they put that in the title....Really I thought it was an elephant....seriously...not all of us are village idiots!!!

message 10: by Nicolle (new)

Nicolle OK I will join at somepoint in the future. I actually read three one word titles this month, does that count?

message 11: by [deleted user] (new)

Yes because it's the first group....Good for you...don't forget to post it here so we can all see everyone's achievements!!!

message 12: by Nicolle (new)

Nicolle Month #1- Suspicion, Scandal, Vanished. They are all in the same series (the Private series by Kate Brian). I am sooooo addicted to them and cannot wait to see my friend Heather (who lent the books to me over summer) on tuesday to see if she has the last few books!

message 13: by [deleted user] (new)

Way to go!! Now I have to start...

Good! It will fill my classics reading. Thank you for the information.

message 20: by Martha (new)

Martha (marthas48) You're very welcome! Since you're reading it in October as I am, we can do a buddy read if you'd like.

I have never done a buddy read before and not sure how it works. However, I would love to do one. Which book are you reading first?

message 23: by Martha (new)

Martha (marthas48) I usually read them all at the same time. Depending on my mood I switch back & forth. However, 3 of them will be ebooks for me so that might make a difference.

I have Frankenstein, Rebecca and Villette in hard copy. I also have The Hobbit from the classics' read. I usually read one at a time. I am thinking that I will read The Hobbit first, then Frankenstein followed by Rebecca and to finish the October reading challenge Villette.

message 25: by Martha (new)

Martha (marthas48) Sounds good, Miss.terri. I'll try to stay with your plan except for The Hobbit. I'm not reading it this year.
