I am currently requesting your ideas for a book preview video for Sons of Avalon: Merlin's Prophecy.

What scenes do you think I should showcase?

Do you have a favorite chapter that you would like to see featured?

Ideas for music?

Any and all input will be considered.

Flashes of passages:

Lightening bolt, thunder clap, burnt tree, blood trickling on wet leaves, baby cry, hawk screech.

Thundering hooves, an old woman screams as the boy is torn from her arms.

Flash of a crown, trickling blood on stone, dark veiled figures, black gloves holding reins, stormy skies.

Raising the sword heavenward, flash of light, driving the blade firmly into the stone.

The music should be mystic, and moody with suspense and a powerful build up and creshendo at the end. Would like a background track of the aforementioned sound effects.

I like your concept. I never realized how much blood was trickling on or about so many of the characters. But after thinking about it, I guess there was an abundance of dead and dying. Hmm, maybe the next book should have more love and less war?

I'm sure we can come up with some non-violent scenes...if we try real hard.

I like the scene where Nimue is in the garden; with the songbirds eating out of her hand. Or, the scene where Ambros first meets Merlin. Or where...hmm, well there is the chapter where Lionel helps Claire with the ribbons for the coronation celebration. Oh, and the one where Uther gives the puppy to one of the knights...but, I suppose that scene has blood in it too. Oh, my, this may be harder than I thought.

Geez, I don't want it to appear as if I wrote a horror story, but the dark ages were...well, they were rather dark and dangerous times.

How about when Merlin meets Bedivere for the first time?

Changing course, how about the music. I know we have discussed either Celtic (everyone agrees that Loreena McKennitt would be ideal), or Hard Alternative Rock, like King Nothing. Perhaps even doing two or more versions? One dark and dangerous, and one light and mystical?

Hmmmmmmm, I was thinking maybe something humorous, but something that gives you an idea what it's about. If someone saw something that was just dark, and bloody, I know that my mom wouldn't let me see it. I had to convinse her to let me see Twilight. No offense Lillian.

I was thinking the winetoss scene, maybe it would give to much away......

When Merlin meets Bedivere for the first time, that would be a good one.

BTW didn't that really happen?? IDK much about that time period, but I know alot more since I met you. :)

Many of the subplots of SOA are based on actual historical facts. Rome, leaving Britain to fend for themselves. The Saxon invasion. The invasion from the north of the Picts. The growing conflict between Druids (paganism) and Christianity.

All the buildings within Londinium are based on real archeologist study and discoveries. The healing pools in Bath. The plant that Merlin found along the chalky hillsides of Dubris (Dover) is a real herb, which is indigenous to that area. Also Rome had dotted the western cost with forts.

As well as Stonehenge of course. There are hundreds of burial mounds surrounding the area of Stonehenge where ancient royalty have been unearthed.

The Druid ceremonies are all based on actual rituals.

W-O-W, it must have been hard to write a book that has alot of historical fact. I mean, to put all that info in a book, and not making it look like a text book! I don't think I would be able to do that. My book has 1 character that I know of that was a Roman tyrant, Julius Caesar
