~Geektastic~ (atroskity) | 3205 comments The discussion about bookshelves in the "show me your book collection" thread has me thinking about design in general. Share what you think is good or bad, ugly or beautiful, functional or pointless. Furniture, architecture, random objects and whatever else you can think of.

Yay:

~Geektastic~ (atroskity) | 3205 comments I saw that one earlier today. It looks cool, but definitely needs cushions or something.

I dislike everything above.

I like this:

anything by Hans Wegner I'm probably going to like

Anything by Ettore Sottsass I'm going to hate:

This bed nauseates me.

This is wackadoodle...I don't like it, but it's kind of fun to look at.

~Geektastic~ (atroskity) | 3205 comments That bed looks like something Patrick Bateman would sleep murder hookers in.

Yes. It's gross.

~Geektastic~ (atroskity) | 3205 comments I'm not sure how I feel about these. On one hand, they feel very Alice in Wonderland. On the other they're rather twee.

I like this chair in this shade of green, but I wouldn't buy anything from the retailer because they're so overpriced. (Jayson Home)

It does look like a shallot.

Philip Johnson's Glass House.

I find it cold and rather lifeless. As a design, I suppose it's quite nice, but as a home, no thanks. I prefer dark, cluttered and cozy to cold and spare. Granted, the view is lovely, but still not enough. And I like my privacy.

Stina (stinalee) | 749 comments I don't think anything should have a web address that I can read as "New House O' Fart".

I mean, this is nice, but not really worth $13,400. (That's the starting price.) The Uhuru canopy bed.

Wow. Wow! These chairs are $30,000 each. (From the David Gill Gallery.)
