Please only list authors in this topic who need to be merged by a GR staff member -- when one of the profiles has been claimed by the GR-member author.

I joined librarians simply to remove pesky parenthesis from around my subtitle - apparently transferred from the Amazon Kindle site. Learning-as-I-go, and hoping for support from my reading community... am disappointed in my smart friends and contacts Stateside who don't seem to understand the importance of every "click" in the life of an Indie Author/Publisher! I just found 28 books and 102 reviews by Marie-Madeleine deLaFayette and 4 books by Madame de La Fayette, which is her most know name. How to merge in this particular case? Thanks.

I have merged and kept the profile with the most information, currently reviewing LOC and Wordcat naming convention

Actually, so far none of the posts in this thread have really needed my attention. I check this thread first, often even when I only have a couple minutes, as I am the only regular in this group who can merge GR author profiles. It would be great if posts in it were limited to things that really need my attention.

Zac, Goodreads policy is that authors with multiple initials in their name be listed without spaces between the initials. I fixed your book to match your profile.

Hope this is the right place. I note an author friend of mine has his ebook and print editions in names with different spellings. He has claimed the ebook author page name by the looks.

This is exactly the right place, because he is a GR Author. I merged them.

I think the British author Mary Norton (of The Borrowers, etc.) has been merged with Mary Beth Norton, American historian?

Bio on this page is the British children's novelist, but the books include the works of both: http://www.goodreads.com/author/show/... .

Got 40 and 41. Melody, I took care of that one (which was pretty clearly accidentally opening two accounts), but in general, things like that should be getting emailed to support@goodreads.com, NOT posted publicly.
